Very average and well-used hotel. OK for a night or two. Courtyards by Marriott at one time occupied a lodging niche between mid-scale and upper for business travelers and were a safe bet to book without checking reviews, but that's no longer true. Many of them are showing their age, as is this one. Nothing particularly bad about the place, but nothing stands out either. Beds were very comfy, rooms were fairly quiet, and surprisingly adequate breakfast during these covid restricted times. But lots of other corners are being cut... the wifi is slooow; carpets are stained and worn; TV is very old; never was able to get hot water morning or evening, just barely warm; single soap bar for vanity and shower; no ice machines (on first floor anyway); and inadequate parking, had to park at the adjacent hotel.

Better than expected We got a great deal through Hotwire and the room was bigger than expected! The wifi works seamlessly and the hotel is clean. Reception is open 24/7 and the service is nice, it’s just that this place is really far from everything. There is no public transport, so if you don’t have a car, you will end up spending quite alot on Ubers to get around. I’d recommend this place if you have some business in the Sugar Land/Stafford area.

Worst stay at a hotel, ever. Period. Bed Bugs, Bugs in Bed. After a day of stay at the courtyard here in Sugarland, which, was a sad excuse of a Marriott to begin with, it was more than apparent that some uninvited guests had been also staying in my bed with me. I have posted pictures of the golf ball sized hives I received from whatever had a feast on my arm. After many conversations with front desk staff, and corporate support, they decided they would switch me rooms and do an 'investigation,' which, was nothing other than sending their maintenance guy, Jose, up to check it out. A real investigation would have been conducted by a third party bug inspection company, not their own staff. I was promised a third party, via Ecolab but was instead told that their 'engineer' had concluded nothing was there. So they lied! To make matters worse, the staff rolled their eyes, hung up the phone, and essentially did nothing to accommodate what was a hellish experience. Was initially promised reimbursements, but, now- they have literally shoved everything under the rug (including the bugs). Will never return to this location, nor, a Marriott ever again. STAYER BEWARE.
