The Nordic Lodge

Dirty room but great location The front desk staff was not welcoming and seemed irritated to help customers. The room was dirty (toilet uncleaned, hair on the bathroom floor, missing light covers so lights were full of dust. The sink did not drain so we had to call maintenance. The bed/pillows were comfy and seemed clean. Hot summer days in the mountains call for AC, and this room had a unit that sometimes blew out cold air, sometimes warm. Overall not happy for the price — Great location and such easy access to Downtown Steamboat shops/restaurants.

Terrible run down place Terrible, run down place and smelly. The A/C unit looks like has never been cleaned or maintained and expelled mold like odors. It had the characteristics of a run dow motel on the side of the highway. Please check better and newer hotels one mile up the street for about the same price

Poor value My wife and I are staying at this lodge today, August 2, 2024. Three factors concern us: (1) the business failed to disclose that the hot tub has “broken pipes” and apparently has been inoperable for a period of time. We drove quite a distance to get here and believe that when a lodge is advertising its hot tub, it better deliver. If a major amenity is unavailable for any reason, the lodge MUST disclose this change and allow customers to decide if they want to travel. We paid for that amenity and are not receiving it. The lodge manager knows this is a concern but, like too many businesses, offers no change in rates to reflect a value reduction. Even now, the lodge is advertising its hot tub. (2) I’m trying to stream a Yankees game. However, the wifi bandwidth is so weak that the image is slightly worse than standard definition tv. (3) As I’m trying to type, my wife is complaining to me because the hair dryer won’t work after she got out of the tub. She previously was complaining to me about the fact that there are no electrical outlets on her side of the bed, so no convenient phone charging and no lamp or light from a lamp. We’re tired and plan to leave early after only two nights. It sorta grates on me that I’ll pay $220 for tomorrow night for this place, if we stay. Horrible value! I don’t understand the high reviews for this place. I guess this is why people come to distrust supposedly honest ratings.

Great stay at Nordic Lodge My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at Nordic Lodge! The location is absolutely the most convenient. It is close to the most amazing restaurants, the river, and the farmers market/shops. We stayed in a queen suite for three nights. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great. The room was very clean and had a great set up. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Steamboat Getaway We had an excellent stay. We interacted with 3 different workers during our stay, all of whom were very sweet and helpful! Not a negative thing to report. The room was clean and comfortable, safe, and the pool area was pretty and well-kept! We recommend!
