Worst hotel ever! I cannot believe how awful my stay was at this hotel. I stayed there because my niece was getting married there and it was the worst experience all around. I feel so bad for my niece and for other guests. Started off months ago when I tried to make a reservation and even though my niece had blocked off rooms for her wedding, they couldn’t figure out how to get me into a room for the weekend. We finally worked it out at the last minute and checked in. The bed was broken when we arrived and so I mentioned to the front desk before we left for dinner that it was broken. By the time we got home at 10:30 PM we went upstairs and the bed was still broken. We went downstairs to ask why they didn’t fix it and they said that the maintenance person wasn’t on the property. Not really sure why they couldn’t tell us that before we left for dinner but we had to change rooms at 11 PM. Which is interesting because I was told there were no extra rooms available that night as another out of town guest tried to book a room there Friday night. The whole entire time we were there, the people who worked there had an attitude, were not friendly, and for the amount of money I spent, it was terrible service. The place is outdated, the walls are thin, and you could hear pretty much everything going on all night long. I would never stay there again. Save your money and stay at a nice Airbnb.

Wedding. Cheryl sucks The venue was beautiful for our wedding. However, the staff was GOD AWEFUL for the price that was paid the management staff did terrible. No final details were given to us until 48hrs before the wedding. We went months in the dark with no contact from anyone and ended up doing almost all of the planning and set up ourselves. Cheryl specifically was TERRIBLE and the entire place struggles to maintain staff with people quitting. Cheryl is god aweful and should be fired she was little help with getting us any help and only showed up the day of to save her ass. They also were showing other people the wedding venue and bridal room while we were getting ready and setting the place up. 0 stars fire Cheryl.

PLANTATION VIBES Thursday nights, they have live music/bands (from 6 - 7:30 p.m.) outdoors on the lawn. Omigosh, it was 88 in the shade. Ugh!!! We drank bottled water. The crab cake sandwich was ginormous & d'lish. Bring bug repellent if you go & a folding chair.

Quality Uneven This small hotel seems to be primarily a wedding venue. If you are thinking of going on a weekend without being part of a wedding party, it would be wise to call and check how busy the hotel is going to be with large groups. We were there to enjoy a day on the eastern shore over Memorial Day weekend. When we came back to our room after being out in the heat all day, we wanted to shower and found there was no hot water. I called to the front desk several times to see if anyone else was having this problem or if there was an easy fix. Someone from maintenance came up to our room and verified we had no hot water. Additionally, the water pressure was uneven, and the water abruptly stopped several times as we were running it. After spending so much money for a night away this was a disappointment. The building and grounds of this hotel are beautiful, but the amenities advertised on the hotel website are not necessarily available. For instance, when we visited over Memorial Day weekend, the pool was closed and there were no boats to rent. It might be best for a mid-week stay.

Quality Not Consistent I stayed at the Kent Island Resort on two wedding related occasions and my experience was uneven. On one occasion I got a room that had been delightfully renovated, but still had the charm of a historic building. On the other we got a “suite” with a rocking toilet, a loose faucet and a crack in a windowpane. It would be good idea to check out the room before you carry your luggage upstairs. Also annoying was the “resort fee” added to each day of your stay.
