Three Village Inn VERY poor communications as we asked multiple times for an early (1:30pm) check in. Received the standard “our check in is 3pm.” Absolutely unwilling to, at least, suggest that this property would be open to an early arrival. After that, we requested to leave our overnight luggage in their lobby as we were scheduled to attend an affair nearby for the afternoon. Their response, again standard, “we cannot be responsible for luggage and we do not have any room to hold your bags”. Poor and impersonal front desk and a horrible room up in the ATTIC! I’m a short man and using the toilet, standing up, my head hit the sloping wall of the overhead roof! $291 for a one night stay? On top of it all, couldn’t get to sleep because the Inn had a wedding RIGHT BELOW OUR ROOM! Did they tell us…NO. Did they KNOW that evening had a wedding scheduled…YES! This Hotel owes us, at least, a $150 refund! NOT a credit for a future stay…a REFUND! They have been notified, both by their “customer satisfaction” e-mail survey. Absolutely crickets with no response.

Comfortable, spacious, and clean Cottage room My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay in Brewster Cottage #16. The location was within walking distance to shops and restaurants with many other restaurants within driving distance. The front room and bedroom were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The king sized bed was very comfortable with extra pillows. The bathroom had modern fixtures, roomy, and clean. There was a gas fireplace in the bedroom and a large screen tv with a very good channel selection. The WiFi internet was high bandwidth.

Bad to the bone We reluctantly booked this room for a friend as the reviews are so awful but we thought, “how bad can it really be?” Bad! It really is as dreadful as the other reviews decry. The worst part is not the old furniture and sorely in need of updating bathrooms, the worst part was the customer service or lack of any interest in providing customer service. No customer service coupled with a bad attitude. Never again will we book guests here.

Yuk-o, an expensive hovel Stayed in the Townsend Cottage room 22, for one weeknight at $233 including taxes. Let’s start with good: incredible location, clean, spacious room, parking right outside, nice to have a coffeemaker in the room. But…the bad: what a dump. The toilet paper holder was broken. The wall mounted hair dryer was sitting on the bathroom sink. The curtain rod hanger tore off the wall when I pulled the curtain closed. The ac did not sufficiently cool off the room. Rooms do not look like the photos, decorated in bare minimum. No bottled water, no free breakfast, advertised discounts for the shops but did not offer when I checked in. No place to securely stow your bags if you checked in early, and the front desk was reluctant to let us check in early when the hotel was obviously not crowded, although she did eventually let us check in early which was nice. Also, cottage is a misnomer. You don’t get your own little house, the building is shared with at least another 2-3 rooms next to or around you. Maybe the rooms in the main inn are nicer, they definitely are less expensive. Would not stay in the cottages again, waste of money. Not sure if would stay here again if it wasn’t for the location. A shame, but it appears the inn has a monopoly on accommodations in that area, so I don’t think they would improve amenities or services.

Very Quaint We stayed in cottages. They were very clean nd freshly painted. Shower in#15 very old. The outside walks of brick and cobblestone leading to hotel nd cottages are very much in need of repair. Especially, in the dark, they are an accident waiting to happen. Charming grounds nd view. Please improve maintenance. Brunch OK.
