Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge - Family Summer Travel 2024 We have stayed in some lovely even magical boutique hotels over the years but Bluebird Cady Hill is not one of them. We were looking forward to trying out the Bluebird/Lark brand but based on this stay will carefully consider any future bookings. Things to note if you are planning to stay here: - Firstly, it seems more motel than boutique hotel as described on the website - The pools and hot-tub are very much showing their age, rooms seem to have had some refreshes although not particularly well done e.g. photo of the hole in the bathroom attached - The air conditioning for the rooms is very loud so hard to sleep, have a conversation etc if it is on but too hot if it isn’t - The room had an odd musty smell especially in the luggage closet and front room near the air conditioner - Cleaning is a bit questionable, there was an empty water bottle under one of the beds from a previous guest, as well as quite a bit of dust and empty/used creamers in the coffee supply canister - Wool couch and chair for the seating area in the room seem an odd (read itchy/hot) choice but we were able to get an extra cotton blanket to cover them so that worked - The bathroom was awkward in its design choices - for anyone with an infant, there is a shower stall only so recommend asking if any of the rooms have full tubs Note - This last point contributes largely to the poor rating as opposed to average: - Having called ahead to ask about any disruptions to amenities prior to booking, not one mention was made of the significant construction project underway adjacent to the pool nor that the great hall would be closed on two occasions during our stay for a private event which was also not relayed to us upon check-in just posted on a small sign at the front desk the day of the event On the bright side: - The location is great for exploring Stowe on foot or by bike with easy access to the multi-use pathway as well as forest trails - We stayed in a two queen suite and there was ample space for our family of 4 - Complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings - Abundant clean towels at the pools as well as in the rooms, I love it when I book for 4 and get 4 sets of towels not 2 as is often the case - Beds are comfortable and black out shades are very effective - The staff is generally friendly

Perfect! Great place to stay! Great amenities! Helpful staff! Beautiful view of the mountains! We used the gym, the sauna, the pool and the campfire in the evening. Many good eats within walking distance! Quiet, friendly lodge. We’ll come back again!

Summer in Stowe is superb! It was a mountain lodge experience with all the crisp air, stunning colourful sunsets and leafy mountain vistas- but with sunshine and a deep blue, cloudless sky!! So amazing to visit this picture-perfect ski town in summer. I was worried that it would feel deserted and a bit sad with the glam snow crowd departed, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. A cheerful and low key welcome at the Cady Hill lodge office, then a walk past the group fire pit with chairs and tree stumps to sit fireside, up through the forest-green painted wooden shingled buildings to our king deluxe room! Plush tartan lounge chairs and couch, matching tartan padded mirror, fireplace and daybed with stunning mountain views. Wide balcony outside enables us to sit and wonder at the incredible alpine vista across some of the most lush and verdant treeelines I’ve ever seen. I’m no botanist, but what I can say is that it smelled like pine cones, Christmas trees and a sauna!! Squirrels and exotic bird life pinging excitedly across the landscape- sweeping and soaring. Cady Hill is the kind of place that makes you slow down, relax and become a bird watcher- who knew! Day trips to Ben & Jerry’s (be sure to have the Maple and Walnut ice cream, only available in Vermont, featuring local maple syrup), then head to the Stowe Cider Hall- have a gummy bear cider! then grab dinner next door at Shakedown Street BBQ & Grill (best ribs ever, and wings with the dry rub seasoning and blue cheese dipping sauce!) Day hikes to Stirling Pond and surrounding parklands are not for the faint hearted, but a great way to burn off all those calories, and some stunning scenery. The town of Stowe is picturesque and peaceful, well worth a daytime stroll and an amble at night after dinner at Plate. Such an amazing stop on a US road trip!!

Cool and Cute upmarket Motel in Stowe Convenient, cute Vermont accommodation, well located near town and ski resort of Stowe. The recent refurbishment has a retro ski lodge vibe for the rooms and common space that was great for happy hour drinks with our large group. Good value, and while we stayed in winter, probably lovely in all seasons. If you haven't been to Stowe- you need to go!

Wonderful, warm, family, friendly place to stay! The here is just perfect. Rustic modern with a warm, cozy cabin feel. The rooms were clean, bed super comfortable, linens soft. We stayed in a double queen, suite, and it was plenty big for our family of five. Great location. Amenities (pool, sauna, hot tub) all nice and felt great after a long day. Warm and welcoming staff, great communication with multiple text messages making sure everything was taken care of. Great place to stay and we love stowe so we’ll definitely be back! Thanks bluebird Cady Hill Lodge for a wonderful time!!
