Wonderful Stowe What a gem of a place to stay. We stayed 3 nights in June 2024, the accommodation was amazing and the staff in the hotel super friendly. Great location to explore Stowe, right in the heart of the town. We went for a massage whilst we were there and it was awesome. Highly recommended this location and hotel.

Nice Time in the Heart of Stowe We had a great stay at Green Mountain Inn. Restaurants were great, location great, cleaning staff prompt and amazing. Check-in easy and friendly, pool and fire-pit wonderful. The only issue was the rude maintenance man who yelled at my 14 year old daughter who wanted to use the pool on our last night in town and asked to have the door unlocked after a storm went through. There was no reason for him to be so unprofessional and mean. If it wasn’t for that, it would’ve been a perfect stay.

Welcoming inn with character and caring staff We stayed in two rooms for two nights to view the solar eclipse with family. The rooms were comfortable and had character, and the common spaces are beautiful. The staff left treats for us including eclipse glasses and a bottle of solar eclipse maple syrup. Nice touch! We particularly enjoyed the location in the center of town with a walking path across the street. The pool was wonderful although I wish it opened earlier (it opened at 4pm). The complimentary afternoon tea was lovely and a nice way to meet up with family to recharge. Most of all, we appreciated the hardworking staff who went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay to their guests who were there to enjoy the eclipse. They even hosted a festive eclipse party complete with a totality cocktail. We had a dinner at The Whip - highly recommend. Thank you to all who made an extraordinary weekend even more special. We will definitely return!

So Disappointed! After a challenging year of health crises, my husband and I decided to go out east and have some much needed fun and laughter. Green Mountain Inn was the second “leg” of our journey. We are 75 years old. Upon arriving, we made our way to the registration desk. Tyler and Rachel were both there. The process went smoothly although we had anything about our room at that point. I asked Rachel to help my husband with the bags. Registration was now empty and Tyler and I began to talk. I explained my heath issues and our excitement of coming out east! Rachel returned during our conversation and heard some. I asked it the bags were all set and she explained that my husband said he could take care of them without help. Jerry, my husband returned to the lobby. We started to make our way to our room. I stopped and looked up. We had been given a room that took 20 STEPS! 20 STEPS. At that point I shook have gone back to registration and told them this would not eork. I did not. Encouraged my Jerry and gripping thre railing I made it to room 401. And collapsed on the bed. The more I thought about it thhe angrier i got. HOW could registrations think it was okay to give us a room with those EVERY time ee needed to leave and return?!? Breakfast was sit fown in there restaurant or pick up down stairs. Wr chose pick me. It was minimal was fit our needs. Ice was broken . Lobby only. Jacuzzi was broken in the pool area. We had high hopes for the Green Mountain Inn and will filled with disappointment at the end.

Historical and Warm I have been going to the Green Mountain Inn for 37 years! First as a poor culinary student and 4 of us would split 3 beers! Since then, I've stayed there several times, and try to go to the WHIP once a year! Stayed there for two nights, and it did not disappoint! Do NOT miss the absolutely wonderful pictures all through the inn of the early days of Stowe and the making of the ski trails. I had a bite at the bar the first night....warm burrata and crostini...yum! Then took a piece of carrot cake (definitely made there, not frozen) to my room to indulge in for 2 days! Although my room was very large and LOVELY, it was VERY loud! Fortunately I had earplugs! I stayed in room 242 and it was on the corner of Main and the Mountain Rd. The hotel has great little spots to tuck into to read or needlepoint...including a warm library.. If you can't stay, go for meal at the WHIP....
