Disappointing for the money We knew coming into this stay that this would probably a classic costly resort experience but were ready to treat ourselves for the first vacation in nearly two years but the Lodge just wasn’t worth it. Only two restaurants were open in the summer and both were closed for weddings over the weekend. Pool bar ended up being closed without notice despite posted hours of being open. Our spa reservations were canceled the night before due to a call out. Things are rough in the service industry right now so we understand being understaffed, but the customer service at the Lodge was superficial at best. There were so many opportunities to rebound that were just never taken. Plenty of other options in Stowe to stay at for our future visits.

Disappointing! We were not told that there was no daily room service when we booked. When I asked why ,they said they didn’t have enough staff I replied that they should not have operated at full capacity. There were not enough restaurants to serve all the guests. You had to go outside the main building to get any food including coffee. We needed reservations for breakfast buffet. We went at 7:30 and the food was warm not hot. The toaster was not plugged in and it took two people to set it up. Dinner was equally disappointing. The best amenity was a full service gym. The valet parkers were very helpful and friendly. All told a very disappointing experience

Great place I love this place. The staff are doing the best they can. I just read bad reviews and that’s sad. I knew the rooms were not going to made up. Still so be it. We put trash outside and they picked it up. It not the hotels fault you didn’t make reservations, you’ve experienced Covid life and everything is reserved now. This is a great place. Btw coming back in 2 weeks.

Not a happy hiker. Arrived late and tired after a day of hiking. Mid week, mid summer. Expected a great meal after a refreshing shower. Only one of the three advertised restaurants was open and it was outdoors and full to capacity. I was offered a seat at the bar with the worlds most uncomfortable bar stools. Abandoned that plan, returned to my room to order room service. The app (THEIR QR code led me too) would only permit pick up, ie. no room delivery. Sooo back thru the pouring rain I walked to their outdoor restaurant! There I was charged an 18% gratuity for the pleasure of carrying my meal back to my room in the downpour. Poor cell service made phone calls and texting next to impossible. That’s it, we’re outta here! At check out the next morning, there was an early departure fee equal to the cost of another night’s stay ($251.00)!!

Bad experience No room service although room literature states there is. Only one restaurant, not fine dining, ordered but had to walk 20 minutes outside (plus it was raining) to pick up. Was charged 18% gratuity. Front desk person claimed that was for preparing the food. Food was horrible. No cell signal. Weak WiFi. Expected more from this place. After staying in Vail, Aspen, Breckinridge and other ski resorts, this one was severely lacking. We left a day early and they charged us the full price as a cancellation fee. Will never return here.
