Friendly staff, clean but dated Admittedly the spa is being renovated, but the whole resort needs to be renovated. Everything was clean and well cared for but definitely worn at the edges. Staff was polite and friendlily, rooms were large but mattresses were not comfortable and furniture looks dated and worn. Inside pool was a bit underwhelming and the hot tub was out of service.

Dated and Rude I do not usually write negative reviews, but from the responses I got from the front desk, this is the only way to get a message across. I booked a weekend here for my girlfriend and I for her birthday. She stayed here before and loved it. As soon as we pulled in she said “something seems wrong.” We walked in and it smelled musty and looked dated. We checked in the front desk clerk was friendly telling us that the pool and bar close at 9. We knew we weren’t staying in the room long, so went upstairs to a very dated and musty room. We walked into town and came back at 8. We asked where the bar was and the same clerk said “we don’t have one.” We were both confused as he told us there was one. the clerk was more tied up talking to other employees than talking with us and blew us off. I cannot recommend anyone stay here in its current state. Even the signs in the elevators and hallways are from the 90s. It’s a great time capsule. Again I’m sorry I had to post this.

Dated old peoples home Hallways and lobby has stained and buckled hallway carpet and no air conditioning was running. The food had ants in it, hottub, restaurant, and spa closed. Building is in disrepair, no painted lines in parking lot with trash and weeds everywhere, including the roof gutters. The staff was friendly and the rooms were a good size albeit everything was dated

Charming and great location Great location. Charming and relaxing rooms. Beds comfortable, 2 closets one with shelves for easily storing belongings. The room did need a bigger fridge and there was no microwave which is hard to travel without when having little ones. The grounds had flowers and a beautiful water fountain also in the surrounding distant views are trees and mountains. The resort has a relaxing outdoor pool area. The resort was being renovated so we couldn’t enjoy the spa or the outdoor whirlpool. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking near our room entrance. Our family had a relaxing and fun time!

Do not stay here unless you like feeling cheated This place is one you should avoid. We should have guessed something might be off when we got a last minute email advising us that the spa and restaurant were both closed for repairs. Apparently they had been closed for quite some time but the hotel still charges a resort facilities fee. Only one pool was open. There are no lovely gardens to sit in because the weeds are overgrown in most areas, including the parking areas. We were pleased that the roof did not leak in our room because the condition of the roof shingles is horrible. They are hard not to notice. Our room was clean despite its’ 1980’s decor. The air conditioning worked well. We were relieved to find the room cool because the long hallway to our room had no vents, making it hot and steamy. In short, we should have just stayed at the Best Western near route 89. If you don’t want to feel disappointed and cheated, do NOT stay at the Stowflake Mountain “Resort and Spa”.
