A lovely overnight stay An overnight stay with evening dinner and breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly, with the restaurant staff being very accommodating to specific requests. The food was very tasty and of good quality.

Great location, poor service We live near by and whilst this place can be fantastic, it’s often marred by poor service and under par food. Please try and get more organisation in the bar and restaurant and you’d be smashing it. Gorgeous location and I have stayed the rooms are good too.

What's not to like, a lovely riverside hotel This Hotel has splendid views over the River Thames at Goring. A lovely Terrace restaurant called the Coppa Club, ideal for dinner lunch or breakfast. A good bar with snacks available and nice grounds by the weir slipstream to sit and relax. Onsite you can hire electric boats to explore the river. Service is excellent as are the rooms and facilities. There is a Gym if you are feeling energetic, ample free car parking and within a short walking distance of Goring and it's lock. Another great walk is to the Beetle and Wedge pub and restaurant just a couple of miles upstream. Can thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel

A beautiful hotel let down by noise and poor service Beautiful location. Not the place to stay if you want excellent service or peace and quiet. Stayed in room by entrance to Coppa Club. Noise was horrendous. Sounded like you were perched on top of an articulated lorry with its engine running all night. Visited reception. Said would check and call back. Never did. Visited reception again… queue of 4 guests infront of me, getting more and more irate as the receptionist flirted with a customer for 15 minutes on the phone, whilst happily ignoring the customers infront of her and chewing wildly on gum! Not a great look for front of house. Came back later and was told that the noise was the cellar (we were on the first floor above the entrance?) and it would stop at nine. No option to move room. Noise was constant… and then we added in the taxis stopping outside and guests leaving the restaurant. No air conditioning so had to leave the window open. Fan provided totally inadequate. Tried calling following day to provide feedback, no manager available. Given incorrect email address twice. Chose to Emailed email hotel rather than use public domain. No response. So review here instead then as last option. A beautiful hotel let down by poor service, noise and small, tropical temperature rooms. Shame.

Bad nights sleep. Poor customer service. Great location and superb breakfast but it was impossible to sleep due to the extreme heat in the rooms. Fans had been provided as clearly there is a problem of residual heat coming from somewhere. We asked to move rooms but problem was the same. The hotel does not have A/C in any of the rooms we used. We registered a complaint with the front desk who were very dismissive and told us to write to ‘the manager’. This we duly did, a month later and still no acknowledgment or response. Bad nights sleep. Poor customer service.
