Terrible service and mismanaged We are staying here now & the place seems to be mismanaged & has terrible service. We arrived early after being advised by Wyndham that if we go early there may be upgrades for having VIP status. However, we were informed that no such thing exists &, not only that, our room was not available for hours - only at 5:30pm was it finally ready, even though the resorts lists 4pm as check-in time. Then when we arrived to the room, it lacked blankets & had a broken coffee machine. We never could reach guest services until the following day & then they again never arrived. We had to call again. We are extremely disappointed so far & do not plan to stay here again.

Great Family Resort Staff very friendly, resort very clean. Daily activities at the pool, shuttle bus to the beach. The rooms are very comfortable. This is a great family resort, the pool is large and has a lazy river across the way. There is also a playground for the kids.

All in all a great place to spend the week This was a nice location as our goal for this visit was to eat seafood at Murrells Inlet. Our building was one of the last buildings from the main entrance so was a bit far and getting there was like a unique maze. The unit was beautiful with a fantastic flool plan and great furnishings. Maintenance was great about helping us with the TV. Beware: There are stairs to the second floor. Our only disappointments were the heighth of the bed and the balcony. We had to buy a stool for short legged me to get up into the master bed. I do hope they get "Wyndham" beds for guests. Also since it rained several days due to a passing hurricane, we could not sit out because there was no roof on the balcony. In the afternoon it was too hot and of course never while raining. Having been through a hurricane last year and sitting on outside walkway for fresh air, we brought our camp chairs outside our door during this stay. All in all a great place to spend the week even if the weather was fussy!

Summer vacation 2023 I booked through RCI. I have been here before so I knew what to expect. The last time it was Plantation Villas or something to that effect. They changed check in from the front of the building to the back so if you follow gps, turn onto Platt Blvd or you will drive in circles. Easy check in and check out. I booked a one bedroom this time because it’s all that was available. I definitely prefer the two bedroom with a full kitchen. The one bedroom only contains a microwave and a small fridge with tiny freezer. The grounds are taken care of and the resort is clean including the rooms. They fix anything brought to their attention quickly, ie a broken pool ladder. Someone was working on it within 10 minutes of it being reported. The outdoor pool is beautiful. Very large and goes to 4.5 feet. There is also a small kids pool and a great hot tub. There is a snack bar at the main pool. Soft rock music plays starting from 10am. Pool opens at 7 and closes at 10. I don’t think people know because the pool is empty up to 9am. If you want peace and quiet for a little bit, go when they open. Towels are provided for beach and pool. This week there was a problem replenishing them. It always seemed to be empty. There are events during the week at the pool including a hula and fire show starting at 730pm which runs about an hour. I suggest getting there before 7 and sitting on the side of pool closer to the stage. It’s harder to see when people start standing up and blocking the view. There is also a kids pool and play area across from the main pool. There is a lazy river in that area. There is also an indoor pool and game room which I didn’t visit. A nice added feature is the beach shuttle. It runs every hour between 9am and 4pm. Return trips are 1015 to 515. It’s about a 10 minute ride to the beach. You could drive, it costs $2 per hour for parking at the public beach. I always enjoy my stay here. Would definitely book again.

DO NOT STAY HERE- You’ve Been Warned DO NOT STAY HERE. From the sale pitch at arrival that lasts way too long, telling us the real sales pitch won’t “last for four or five hours”, to the lack of adults in management of the resort rooms, just don’t do it. First room we were sent to: Door ajar. Maint man had toilet removed and nowhere near being done with repair. Drove all the way back to check in to be assigned another room. Second room had freezer that was too small to store any food and wouldn’t freeze anything. Inside scoop: Apparently the first room was the only one on the property that actually had a usable fridge/freezer. Microwave that was big enough for a cup of coffee. Lots of ‘stuff’ on the floors. AC return air filter filthy. AC supply air duct filthy. No way to make ice in room. They do give out bags of ice, though. Oh, but then there’s that lack of freezer that will freeze anything. When I asked for an ice bucket, the young lady looked at me like I asked for a rock from Mars. Management never came out to speak with us. Sat behind the wall and used the desk help to tell there’s nothing they could do about things. Then they said to make a complaint to the booking agent (RCI in this case). As if RCI outfits and maintains Wyndham properties. Just poorest quality on all fronts. Management and those who train and hold them accountable should all be working in another industry. Hospitality isn’t their thing. Maybe they’ll respond and cement my point. There’s more but we’re gonna try to make this work for a few more days so we can eventually laugh at this joke of a “resort stay”. Upside is we do have plenty planned outside the “resort”.
