The Belfry

Belfry spa weekend Had a fabulous weekend. Food was amazing and Sophie G our waitress was just lovely. Very helpful and surprised our friend with a birthday desert with candle. Busy atmosphere but nice. Lovely meal and atmosphere. Really enjoyed it and will be back.

Lovely dining experience Thank you to Sophie who looked after us during our dinner. Sophiebarranged a happy birthday plate for my friend which was really thoughtful xx we also enjoyed the fire and ice experience although somebofbthebrooms were not working which was a bit disappointing

Lovely night away Very well organized spa and golf packages, a la carte menu surprisingly good and buffet distinctly average. Lovely night away, especially the massage which was very relaxing, lovely masseuse Chantarra! Pool facilities reasonably well kept with lovely outside lounges in courtyard but very busy Jacuzzi and noisy pool with lots of kids!

Mostly disappointing We stayed at The Belfry for one night on Easter Monday 21st April 2025, including spa treatment and one round of golf for our golfers. The golf tee off time was 13.50 and spa booked from 14.00 with a treatment at 15.00. Firstly, there was no rooms ready meaning that we had to rummage in the luggage room for our spa things. We hadn't used the fire and ice before, no one showed us where it was and no one informed us at the time of booking that this was only for 1 and half hours and we didn't find it straight away. This meant that we went into the fire and ice at 14.30 and literally had 20mins then it was time to make our way to the treatment rooms for 15.00 booking. Our experience would've been much better with more advice about the timings of the bookings and access to rooms for spa guests. The treatments received were all very good and the therapists all lovely. I had a facial, head and shoulder massage with Memuna R who was excellent. The Brabazon course was a disappointment because of all the geese poop all over and some other players not having the ability to play that course and holding our golfers back. The bar area is beautiful but the service appalling. We were left to pour our own prosecco by unattentive staff then had to wait for the second bottle when the bar was quiet and that bottle was never even opened for us. The evening meal was just adequate and having to serve ourselves meant that by the time we got back to the table the food was tepid. The young man who attended our table was Zac and he was very attentive and gave excellent customer service. For us, The Belfry did not live up to the prestigious place that it is meant to be. Investment in staff training would improve the customer experience and being served an evening meal should be standard.

Hen - spa day Bride-to-be and Hens had a fabulous time at The Belfry with the Hen group x10. The decor, atmosphere, the facilities, staff and food 100% on points. Memuna done an excellent job with my back, shoulder treatment and follow-up care. ( I fell asleep a few times).
