Don't Stay Here This place is beyond terrible. Front desk after hours employees are very rude. Bed was a box spring with no mattress. Only one working elevator and you have to go clear to the basement to get ice due to all the other ice machines not working. I would never recommend anyone stay here!!

A nice place to stay Very nice hotel. The room was spacious and clean. In the lobby there is free coffee and tea plus help yourself to extra towels and free toothpaste, shampoo etc. The shower was very nice but the one thing that was missing was an extra table or counter in the bathroom to put my clothes and toiletries on. It’s a big room so there’s space to add one. Parking was free and convenient

Affordable hotel near Syracuse University Just stayed at the Parkview with my husband and son. We were in town to visit Syracuse University. The hotel might look a bit worn from the outside, but inside it is clean and updated. Friendly staff, affordable, and no extra charge for parking. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby in the mornings. Maybe a little wear and tear on the bedside tables where I think people had spilled drinks in the past? Otherwise everything was great. Thank you Parkview for a pleasant stay.

Two confirmation emails yet they have no room booking for me?! Do not book through their site! We booked a room online directly through the hotel’s site, not through a third-party booking service. I received two email confirmations for the correct date and address, and saw a small charge on my credit card that I presume was them checking the validity of the account. Upon our arrival, I am told there is no booking under my name or phone number. I then give my confirmation number from the emails, and am told there is no booking with this code. I am told to call “their website” (which is a 1-800 number not listed anywhere in the booking or webpage). I call this number only to be told there is no booking with this code, and that I should talk to the hotel directly. The hotel tells me I’m out of luck and they have no rooms available. I’m now forced to look for another hotel to check into the day of. I found another hotel with availability that cost me twice as much. I’m utterly stunned because I received confirmations (twice!) that I had a room booked, only to show up in Syracuse with no where to stay and an apathetic “sorry” from the front desk. Unbelievable. Do not book here if you expect to actually stay the night.

Old hotel poorly run! I have stayed at the Parkview several times in the past and always enjoyed my stays. I won't be staying again. Due to last minute changes, I called the day I was set to arrive to change my reservation from a king bed to two full beds. I was told the change was made but when I arrived it had not been done and there were no rooms available. Fortunately I was able to switch rooms with one of the other members of my group. The next day as we came in and out, the front desk clerk was sleeping at the desk the entire time. To make matters worse when we got back to the hotel after dinner, the lobby smelled of smoke and the clerk was nowhere to be found. As we looked around the smoke was getting worse so one of our group called 911. It seems that a toaster oven caught fire in the kitchen that the hotel doesn't use to serve guests. The next day the lobby still smelled of smoke. I would think the hotel would have brought in a company to thoroughly clean the area. It sewms like the current hotel mamagement's standards aren't the same as in the past. It's a shame.
