Do not go here! Hotel Thea looks inviting online, but in reality the hotel was dirty, the customer service was subpar, and it is not a safe place for your pet. When we checked in, we realized that there were renovations happening around the entire hotel, with dust and debris all over the hallways, elevator, and shared spaces. Our room was fine and clean, but you could also clearly tell that it had just been remodeled- I doubt the previous version was that way. We took our puppy outside to pee at 5am and upon entering the lobby, a giant dog jumped from behind the counter and charged at us. He was unleashed and when his owner (the front desk person) tried to grab him, he lunged from side to side aggressively and we had to leave as quickly as possible to avoid him getting to our 12 week old puppy. We asked for early check out and a refund directly after that and the front desk person was defensive, claimed her dog was leashed (he wasn't!) and said that she couldn't help us with the refund but the 'morning shift person' could. The only silver lining is the morning person was lovely and immediately offered a refund, but it didn't make up for the rest of the experience. Do not recommend going there. Spend more money and go elsewhere for a better quality experience.

Please avoid for your safety When we arrived they told us the room would not be ready until 3pm, so we went to run some errands and came back at 4, when we were told that our room was being used for a daily rental. They found us another room when i insisted. We went and took our luggage in and my husband asked them to clean it. We came back and it reeked of smoke the next morning i felt and saw bite marks on our bodies from bugs. They told us all of the rooms are that way until they remodel The pool area seemed unsafe with boarded up doors and cardboard over things. They did refund my money.

Relaxing The hotel staff is professional polite and positive. Not to mention gorgeous especially the young lady with the tattoos. It's like everyone here is just better looking than your typical customer service hotel staff. Lots of food within walking distance decent pool sauna and steam room being renovated above average warm hot tub. Next time you're in the Pacific northwest stay here. A choice hotels top pick

Unsafe. Unprofessional. Dirty. This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. First off check in was supposed to be 3pm. We arrived at 3:30pm & were told our room was ready. However, when we got to the room it was DISCUSSING. There was food, liquor & cigarettes everywhere. When we brought this to the front desk’s attention we were immediately accused of being told the room wasn’t ready & “we could just leave”. Her demeanor was very hostile & unprofessional. Problem was, we were there for a sold out show & no other properties had vacancy. At this point there was quit a bit of commotion in the lobby from other guests being told the same & the fire alarm goes off randomly? Fire department evacuates & inspects the hotel to find no fire threat. Eventually we were finally told our room would be ready in an hour. Our friends, whom also had a reservation were experiencing the same delays. However, their room was finally available around 5:30pm. We got ready with them (our room still not available). Their room was “clean” at first glance but there was an extremely foul smell, blood splatters on the backside of the bathroom door & missing smoke detectors that were clearly ripped from the wall. After the show we went to our room & again at first glance it appeared clean but upon further inspection we too found stains all over the carpet, sheets & comforter. Our smoke detector was also ripped from the wall. At this point, after midnight, we felt unsafe & dirty just being there. So, we decided to not stay & drive home to Marysville, 67 miles north. The next morning I called the front desk & asked for a refund as we did not use the room, but was told that was not a possibility. I also requested a refund through booking.com with no avail, they claimed that the property would not issue the refund. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

HOTEL STAFF STOLE OVER $900 WORTH OF OUR BELONGINGS THE HOTEL STAFF STOLE OVER $900 WORTH OF OUR PROPERTY FROM OUR ROOM THEN KICKED US OUT OF THE HOTEL. Long story short is the sentence above. We have already processed a lawsuit against the hotel and have a police report in hand. DO NOT stay at this hotel if you value your property, your privacy, and money. Full story is below: We prepaid for a stay at Hotel Thea 4 months prior to our stay. We have receipts and confirmations that our booking was paid for and ready for August 8-11. While flying to Washington on the 8th, our flight was delayed, so I called the hotel to notify them we would be checking in late. The front desk employee said that was not a problem. We got in around 11:30pm, checked in successfully at the front desk, was issued a room card, and went to sleep. The next day (Wednesday the 9th), I needed to use the hairdryer, so I went downstairs to check it out from the front desk. They had me write our room number and name on the check out sheet. Once we were heading out for the day, I returned the hairdryer. When we came back that evening, our room key needed to be re-magnetized since I had it sitting to my chip debit cards all day. My husband went to the front desk and informed the employee our room key was not working. The employee refreshed the room key, and we were able to enter our room and go to sleep. Thursday the 11th, we went to work (which was why we were in Washington in the first place). After working all day and returning to the Hotel around 9:20pm, our room key again was not working. My husband went down to the front desk, the front desk employee refreshed the room key, and we entered the room only to find out all of our property and belongings had been removed from the room, and the room was completely clean. We ran down to the front desk and asked where all our stuff went. The front desk employee very nonchalantly mentioned he thought he saw a note about that from an earlier employee. He said all our stuff had been moved to their back office. We demanded to know why they had done this, and he said he wasn't the one that did it and has no idea. He refused to give us his manager's contact information, but instead called his manager on his personal cell phone and gave it to us to speak with her. She claimed that no one had seen us in two days and that our reservation was actually for one night on Sunday the 6th, before we were even in the state. She claimed they had tried to reach us all day which was a lie. Both of our phones were on and functional all day and we received NO communication from them. We also have all the confirmations to prove that our reservation was for August 8-11. Also, why would we have been able to check in and stay there for two nights already had we not had a reservation? The front desk employee gave our belongings back in a trash bag. As we were going through our belongings, we began to notice more and more things were missing. After calculating it all up and finding the receipts for everything missing, they took almost $1000 worth of our property. Two thing they took were both of our AirPods. AirPods are trackable when they are connected to an Apple ID, so we were able to track the AirPods to the criminal's address. Upon learning they stole from us, we called the police. We gave the police all of the information and they visited Hotel Thea later that night after we had already left to find somewhere to stay. In the end, we have the exact address of the criminal who stole from us, a police report that outlines the hotel could not substantiate any of their claims, and a lawsuit filed against the hotel for the value of the missing property PLUS damages and the night we had prepaid for at the hotel. They will not be getting off without having to pay for and acknowledge what they have done.
