Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge

Almost Perfect Beautiful property, lovely little beach. Very convenient location to everything that North Lake Tahoe has to offer. The only issue was the room temperature (very hot and could not turn the heater down or lower thermostat). We had to keep windows open all the time and we were still hot.

Rustic lodge on beautiful Lake Tahoe We stayed in mid August 2024. Some of these reviews use the term 'outdated' or 'need renovation'. I think rustic is a more appropriate term. We stayed in a studio apartment. It has a Murphy Bed, pulled down from the wall. You need to disassemble the sofa cushions and the bed pulls down over the frame. We just opted to leave the bed down for the week. The room is certainly 'cozy' (small), but functional. Appliances were small but certainly functional. The studio apartment is a good base of operations, but I wouldn't want to be cooped up in it all week. The lodge is very convenient to everything in the area. The pool is small but nice and there is a small beach area on Lake Tahoe. There are picnic tables and grills down near the water. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The area is very scenic, but seems geared to ski season more than summer. Summer seems geared to kayak rentals and hiking. There are a couple very nice narrated lake cruises.

Red Wolfe Heaven I have been an owner at the Red Wolfe Lakeside Lodge for 25 years, it is my home away from home. Trini, Juan, Kelly, and Erin , the resort manager literally treat me like I am home when I come for either day use, bonus time, or stay for a weekend or for my week. The pool, Hot Tub, and the rooms are immaculate, the grounds are breathtaking, the resort itself is always impeccably maintained, the kayaks and the pier are my favorite place to be, thank you to the staff that works so hard to keep this place beautiful

Beautiful and a Home Away from Home Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge is consistently excellent when it comes to an overall vacation and home-away-from home experience. Here is why: 1) Excellent Service: Even before arriving, the communication is upbeat and positive and once there, the staff members go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. 2) Clean and Comfortable Rooms: The cleanliness and comfort associated with the rooms, kitchen, beds, and well-maintained facilities is top notch. 3) Great Location: Being next to King's Beach and one of the main roads into North Shore is wonderful. There are also excellent restaurants nearby. 4) Beautiful Views: As someone who appreciates the beauty of Lake Tahoe, there is nothing like laying on a lounge chair, with only your legs and toes in front of you, that keep you away from the stunning lake. 5) Excellent Amenities: The swimming pool, spas, ping-pong tables, kayaks, BBQ's, and complimentary services like Wi-Fi are perfect. 6) Prompt and Efficient Check-In/Check-Out: There is a smooth and hassle-free check-in and check-out process as there is efficiency and friendliness. Overall, my experience at Red Wolf Lodge Lakeside, has always been a wonderful experience, I have felt welcomed, and I highly recommend the it to others.

Beware: Confirm your reservation! Really, a zero rating- arrived at lodge at 6pm after a two hour drive to find the office closed and no one answering the after hours line. Waited a half hour to hear that our reservation was ‘cancelled’. Booked directly through the lodge weeks prior, credit card was charged and confirmation had been received. No explanation aside from they overbooked and booted us off. No response from management regarding the mishap. So disappointing.
