Our family was excited to come to Tampa and not only experience the casino but also the surrounding community. We were thrilled to take advantage of the promotion (hotel stay/meal comps) but were quickly let down by Hard Rock. We called while in transit (30 mins before we arrived) to the hotel to make sure our reservation was still active and there would be no complications during check in. While entering, the hotel clerks were seen whispering and laughing at us, while walking up. Which made me and my son uncomfortable. Long story short, they gave our room away four hours before we arrived (due to them being busy that night) and put us in the opposite tower (west tower); in a room that could not accommodate everyone in our party. They also were deceitful about where the meal comps could be used. We are traveling with children so naturally they are anxious to go to the sugar factory. We were informed while booking the reservation that the meal comp could be used for all restaurants in the facility (but when we arrived we were told that was not the case). All in all, be careful making reservations with hard rock. Deceitful and does not respect customers integrity or time.

Poor slot machine action The casino slot machines are horrible! They will take every dollar you have if you let them! You will never walk away winning a dime or having any of your money remaining if you take a chance. The dramatic decline from even a year ago is immeasurable! We used to love going there for a treat and play all day on a few thousand dollars; now you will lose $8-10,000 in a day. This is especially true if they have drawings, special give-aways, double points days, or gifts.’ They get all that money from you and if you think they might call your name, think again! It is rare and close to impossible. The casino used to be so much fun and even the bounce back and free play promotions are minimal. Good luck!

Deceptive Promotion Beware This was the worst experience ever. We received a flyer in the mail about an amazing promotion: 3 nights free, meal comp credit, and a free play credit. It sounded like a great weekend, but it turned into a nightmare. We checked in last night after a delayed flight, only to find our reservation for an East Tower non-smoking king room had been canceled. Instead, we were shoved into a smoking, handicap-accessible room next to the pool with a cement wall view that reeked. When we returned to the front desk, they coldly informed us that this was the only room available and they couldn't do anything to help. Trying to salvage the situation, we decided to eat and gamble a bit. That's when I noticed the promotional free play and food comps weren't loaded onto my player's card. At player services, I was told that because the hotel didn't book the new room under the promotion, and since I didn't bring the mailed promotional flyer with me, I'd need to contact someone at the player services number to have it added. After a frustrating back-and-forth with a representative and their manager, they claimed they couldn't locate my original reservation and refused to add the promotional items to my card—the free play and food comps. This place is a joke. If you're thinking about coming based on one of those deceptive flyers, my advice is to bring the flyer with you and call the hotel beforehand to make sure everything is as promised. We're stuck in this horrible situation, but you've been warned. Avoid this place at all costs.
