Problem Manager - Unauthorized Credit Card Charges My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Tempe, Arizona on the 4th of July. After checking in, we left the hotel to watch the firework celebration at the riverfront. After the firework show, we returned to our room at approximately 11pm. After unpacking our luggage and showering, we turned on the television and learned that it did not work. Immediately, we notified the front desk and at approximately 12am, we had to pack our belongings and moved to another room. The next day, I wrote a not so happy comment about the managers lack of empathy on the IHG website. Shortly afterwards, we received a $45.00 additional charge on my credit card. When I inquired about the charge, the same manager lied and stated that we damaged a face towel, a pillow slip and a pillow protector. When I asked for her supervisor, she stated that he was out of the country and not expected to return until mid August. The manager then emailed me a picture of something we have never seen and did not do. Whatever stain it was, I asked her was it washed prior to charging my card and she responded that she was not sure. I asked her to remove the charge and she refused. I contacted IHG's Guest Relation Department and at the time of the writing, the charge remains on my credit card. This is an illegal act by the hotel and if not corrected, we have decided to seek legal action, no matter what the cost may be. It should be noted, while checking into the hotel on July 4th, there was another guest complaining about the same manager. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!

A Very Comfortable Holiday Inn! A very comfortable Holiday Inn Express, with friendly, professional staff. The facility was very clean overall, and the room clean and quiet. The bed linen ws so comfortable. Being located adjacent to a major university, I thought it might be loud with tons of young people traipising in and out at all hours. This was not at all the case. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The one very little problem was approaching the Inn heading north on Scottsdale Rd. Located at a freeway entrance and exit, that called for some tricky manuevers. But, I would cetainy return for another stay.

Horrible experience We stayed at this hotel in January of this year and had room rates of $159 per night. This month the room rate is $300 as it's the hight of season and spring training baseball. Frankly the room isn't worth $159. However this area has swelled with visitors. And the Holiday Inn has taken full advantage. Many of guests conduct themselves as though they had never stayed in a hotel. Loud. Noisy. Dirty. And a general disrespect for any other guests. The last several days of our stay, there is a Japanese meditation group occupying the meeting room, which is on the third floor, across from guest rooms. Having been to Japan, I was encouraged as most people we encountered were respectful and peaceful. Not this group. They are loud. Begining at 7:15 am every day, one can here loud conversation. Doors slamming from the meeting room. And whatever it is that they are actually doing is very noisy and obnoxious. After mentioning this to the front desk, the response I received was "gee that's surprising." Very unhelpful. I recommend to ANYONE visiting this area that you NOT stay here. Particularly this time of year.

Like sleeping on a freeway Clean hotel and nice staff but that's about it. Our room faced the 202. It might as well have be on the 202. Incredibly noisy. Our friends who had a room that overlooked the parking lot had similar issues though not quite as bad. My wife had to use ear plugs and we had the tv on. Soap dispenser leaked. Breakfast all 4 of us agreed was terrible. The tater tots tasted as if they were defrosted and put out without cooking. Insides cold. Bacon is pre-cooked and reheated. Not real bacon. Front desk, while pleasant, couldnt help with my one inquiry- where a nearby parking garage was. I went on line and found what I needed

We will stay here again! We were very pleased with our choice! PROS: Very comfortable bed and pillows Great Free Breakfast Buffet Very Clean Nice Closet w/ safe Refrigerator/Microwave/Keurig Stle Coffee Maker Dove products in the bathroom dispensers Close to the freeway Food options within walking distance Staff was friendly Great Price! Very Few CONS: Strange Parking Lot Rooms were a little on the small side
