Read the Recent Reviews - This Hotel is Not Worth It Absolutely terrible experience - this hotel is NOT worth the money and did not feel like a secure place to stay. Please read this and other recent reviews and believe them. I did not want to believe them - when I booked several months earlier, the reviews were not like this - I was shocked, but they were true. The hotel is loud - doors slamming closed all night, people coming and going at all hours in the halls, yelling. I was not aware when I booked that the hotel is also being used for residential purposes and these two are not mixing well. They say they enforce quiet hours 11-6 and will send security guards if you need them (they are a fixture in the lobby) but that's not really a solution - people paying over $200 per night should get quiet. The air conditioning did not work, and the room absolutely reeked of carpet cleaning agents. I called in advance when I booked the hotel to check they had a 24/7 shuttle because my flight left at 5 am and I needed to be to the airport for 3 am. They assured me that would be no problem and could get a shuttle. When I arrived, they advised the shuttle driver was on holidays so no shuttle and they don't hire a replacement to ensure this amenity continued, they just stopped providing it for that week wihtout warning or any kind of compensation. The front desk staff later told Expedia (when they called to seek a refund for me) that he was sick that night. They didn't offer a voucher for a cab, or to even help me call a cab. And when I was upset at 3 am when I couldn't get a cab to take me and my 5 year old son to the airport after being assured one was coming, they said that it was because all the bars just got out and the cabs were serving those people, not interested in short airport fares. The cab never showed up, I was harassed while waiting out front with my five year old son for the cab that never showed up. My husband ended up getting up, and getting our daughters up, at 3 am to drive us the 2 kms to the airport. Expedia called and asked them to refund my money. They refused saying that's just how it is at the hotel now.

Avoid find somewhere else to stay Stayed for 1 night with my family and it was an experience where do I start: Is in a great location with shops and restaurants Arrived on site plenty of parking spaces place didn't look very welcoming with all the smokers standing outside Check in was fine Went to room (203) and first thing was the smell it was terrible the room was disgusting feet sticking to the carpet toilet not much better room had air con but made a noise didn't blow out any air and couldn't open a window as the netting to keep the mosquitos out was ripped We went to get our cases and this arrogant/ aggressive not very well dressed man started shouting at me in the carpark to move my car as he wanted the space for his wife even though there was plenty of spaces but he stopped when he heard my broad Scottish accent but did spit all over the windows of the car when I left Hallways loud with ppl at night so we didn't sleep much probably got about 2 hours in all In a whole I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't advise anyone to stay either

Good location in Thunder Bay This is a slightly dated building but overall was very nice. The room was spacious, well maintained, and clean. The pool area was nice but there are lots of kids. The hot tub was large but not very hot (probably because of the kid-friendly nature of the pool area). The location was good as it was close to stores, restaurants and the TCH.

Clean room - noisy hallway The beds were very comfortable. The shower head was terrible providing a light mist. I have thick medium length hair and it took forever to get my shampoo rinsed out. We had a poolside room. Our patio door was facing the pool. We couldn't figure out how to open it. I didn't bring it up to the staff since our stay was brief. The hallway was super noisy. We were fortunate that other guests were quiet once we went to bed. The room was clean. The staff was great and tried to accommodate us for a second night stay because they were previously booked. There was a security guard in the lobby ensuring everybody's safety. Overall, our stay was good. I would return.

Dirty sheets. First night here and not impressed. I pulled the blankets to go to bed and the sheets are dirty. Gross. Microwave is dirty. They need to clean the rooms and take some pride. Dirt is noticeable even on the chairs and walls. Hopefully they start cleaning the rooms
