Pass! avoid this place. Be warned!! I drove from the USA down to Mexico. I was hoping to play golf on 8/3/24. I walked to the Pro Shop and was told the course was full. There was no group on the first hole. There were 2 empty golf carts sitting there. The guy in the golf shop was rude and incompetent. Apparently, they were out of carts. He could have offered me to walk the course. I have had the same issue with this in the past. Book bajamar instead. You guys need better customer service!!

Great hotel - missing the golf part. I was checking it out to prepare a Golf trip in Northern Baja and thanks to the proximity to the border I figured it be a great place to start. The hotel was great - yet the golf let a lot to be desired. We had a tee time at 7:10am, the pro shop opened at 7:15 and we didnt get our cart until 7:20. The first green was dead crabgrass and the course was in rough shape. On hole 6, my cart died and had to wait for a new one to be brought out to me. So bad I decided to call it quits after 9 holes. They have so much potential, just not enough for me to recommend it. The bar at the hotel was cash only, no way to do a room charge, not impressed.

Golf in Tijuana? Real Del Mar is so BAD experience, do not even think to come $60 USD fee, the course has a very poor conditions, poor to none maintained, bushes in sand traps, buhesh in tee off, bathrooms in very bad shape, basic meals service. So expensive according what you receive, it does not worth it. The worst golf experience I ever had.

Some Good, Some Bad, and Some Ugly ... My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Real del Mar with a large group (45 people) who were spending the weekend to celebrate our friend's birthday. Although we all ended up having a great time in Baja the Hotel Real del Mar was definitely NOT the highlight of the trip! Bottom line ... This hotel has seen better days! Its definitely old and beat up but what really set us off were the stained towels, walls, and carpets, the bugs, and the general disrepair of the property. They really need to spend a few bucks to update the towels and linens, change the carpets, and give the place a coat of fresh paint! Other than that the hotel was decent. The staff was friendly and both the snack bar and main bar were really fun with delicious food. the location is also good if you want to tour the area (we ended up going wine tasting and going in to Puerto Nuevo to eat Lobster).
