A hidden gem - reasonable prices - continental breakfast - relaxing lodge with coffee, tea and pastries - ocean sounds This place was a find. We needed a room for two nights. It was small and we were warned it was small. But it was fine. The room was clean. Faced the trees. Very quiet, no traffic noise, just the ocean waves. Continental breakfast and all day coffee in the lounge.

Views, location and food were first class Wonderful location and the suppers were the best we have eaten anywhere on our three week vacation around Canada bar none! However we were a family of four and the room wasn’t set up for us - no blind on front door in sitting area where one child needed to sleep on sofa bed (nowhere else for her to sleep) but despite asking and being told a blind should have been put up - it never was so we had to concoct our own with towel and drawing pins. The double bed creaked every time you turned over and was tiny! V bad sleep here but the views, the bar, the lounge area and the food were all 5 star hands down We would absolutely recommend but ensure you understand sleeping arrangement and layouts very clearly as once sofa bed out you cannot walk around the living area at all as tiny.

Lovely long weekend getaway We spent our vacation time over the long weekend - '' August Fogust'', had our 4-night stay in ocean facing queen room. Very comfortable bedding, wifi was fine. The lodge is rustic as expected but definitely charming, cozy and clean. Trails around are well maintained! Their baked goodies were amazing, and my boyfriend loved their overnight oats. Their bbq area was also decent for making a quick meal. Although we didn't get to see blue sky but all staffs were very kind and caring which made our stay even more comfortable and pleasant :)

Dinner Truly Outstanding! If you get a chance have dinner at the lodge. Chef Maija created the BEST farm to table meal! Three courses made with obvious love. The MBL is a lovely relaxing resort with cozy rooms. Breakfast is included with a good variety of freshly baked items, eggs, cold cuts and cheese. The gravel road leading to the lodge was being paved during our visit. It caused only minor delays.

Beautiful place Lovely wooded grounds overlooking islands and inlets pf Pacific. Nice clean attractive compact room with great views. Lodges have nice spaces for relaxing, socializing etc. Good breakfast. Wonderful prix fixe dinner. Friendly staff. Coming back!!
