Exceeded our expectations We just came back from a 5 day stay, our first time at Bluefin. We typically stay closer to Duluth/Two Harbors but decided to try Bluefin based on a favorable review from a friend. The resort completely exceeded our expectations. The views were amazing, we loved being just a few steps away from the water at all times. We spent a lot of time on the beach and around the fire at night, enjoying the complimentary S'mores. The activities kept us very busy, and we took advantage of as many offerings as we were able. The activities staff we interacted with were absolutely amazing, we cannot say enough about how great they were: Meg, Bree, Calvin, Quinn, and Sean. They were friendly and took the time and effort to get to know our boys, especially our 10 year old, who thought they were beyond cool and is still talking about them! The front desk staff were also fantastic, always with a greeting, no matter what time of the day or night we popped in for water or coffee. Our unit was very clean when we checked in and housekeeping was very quick and professional when requested. It was one of the most relaxing family vacations we have had in some time and we definitely plan on returning.

A Great Stay at Bluefin (Again!) Just returned from a 4 day stay at Surfside with another couple. This is our 3rd stay at Bluefin in the past year and each time it has met or exceeded our expectations. The accommodations have always been very comfortable and clean and of course, come with fantastic views of the great lake. We always try to take advantage of some of the complimentary resort activities when we stay there. In the past we have done kayaking on Lake Superior. This time we did Wilderness Canoeing with Meg and the Lookout Mountain Hike with Brie and Peter. Each member of the staff was so warm and friendly and great at creating fun conversation with us and the other guests. They helped to make our trip very special. We also enjoyed the complimentary S'More kits over the campfire every night. The only bad thing about Bluefin is that they are so good (and popular) that it is sometimes hard to find space available when we want to return. It is definitely our go to place on the North Shore!

You get what you pay for...and it's worth it!!! I hesitated to leave my review here because I want to keep the Bluefin Bay Resort properties to myself!! My sixth trip to the North Shore of MN in a year was spent at Surfside on Lake Superior (one of the properties of Bluefin Bay Resorts) and without question, it was the most comfortable, luxurious and relaxing stays I've had up there. The Master Suite at Surfside is perfectly appointed and laid out: huge bathroom with plush, oversized towels (those little touches are fantastic), big closet with super soft robes and extra pillows, very comfortable king size bed, spacious living area with a gas fireplace, two lovely rocker easy chairs with leather ottomans, flat screen tv with dvd player & cable, and a whirlpool tub with it's own window facing the lake. The mini-kitchen was perfect - microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, enough to make snacks or reheat leftovers (so many delicious places to eat up there!!). And the most relaxing part is the patio that gives you a first row seat to Lake Superior - two surprisingly comfortable patio chairs with a small table, I was out there every morning with my coffee enjoying the waves lapping at the shore (only about 50 feet away), watching the sun rise and listening to the songbirds, seagulls and geese. I cannot recommend the Bluefin Bay Resort properties enough, it is worth every penny that you'll pay.

North Shore "hygge" My husband and I and our three adult children really enjoyed our recent 3-night stay at Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior. The staff was friendly, the accommodations were top-notch, and the lake views were spectacular. Our condo included a furnished kitchen, so we fixed some meals there, but also enjoyed eating at the Bluefin Grille and Coho Cafe & Bakery, both located on the premises. Every evening we stoked a fire in our unit's fireplace, which took the chill out of the late spring air and created a feeling of "hygge" or coziness for us. Such special memories! We have stayed at Bluefin Bay many times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Mini vacation bliss My husband and I have been staying at Blufin Bay for over 4 years now! We come a few times a year to relax and have fun with our now 5 year old daughter! We love the resort from the bike rentals to free DVDs to watch before bed to the indoor pool and hot tub and amazing outdoor pool and hot tub over looking Lake Superior! We typically stay over by the coho cafe and request a room where we can walk around outside and has the largest one bedroom living arrangement with full kitchen, living room separate bedroom! We recently tried a new room by the indoor pool and play ground unit 23. We loved that our bedroom over looked the lake and you could walk down to the lake from the patio! The 1/2 bath was a plus! The main bathroom was very small but ok! S’mores at night were fun!! Our daughter loves this place so much she cried the day we checked out but we told her we were coming back in July so she’s was so happy!!! Memories each year here at least twice a year is important to us! Blufin helps create lifetime memories that we look forward to every year!! We used to stay down the road at Lutsen for over 15 years but their customer service went down hill once it was sold. Blufin Bay has great customer service and we appreciate that!! We will continue to make this place our twice a year getaway for years to come since they do have a high standard of customer service! Ross Sherman in Guest service is amazing !!
