Enjoyable Quarantine Stay In choosing a hotel for Canada's mandatory quarantine stay, reviews greatly aided my research - my stay at the Toronto Airport Marriott was so good that it actually compelled me to leave a review for the first time in my life, in hopes of making someone else's life easier given the circumstances the Canadian government has in place. The welcome service was good - the shuttle service to the hotel was efficient, and the shuttle driver was kind enough to help my family and I with our many bags. We were well attended to on arrival, and were each given a welcome package with snacks, and full list of meal options to choose from for our three day stay - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Wide variety of meal options, all of which sounded like great choices (vegetarian and healthy options included). The room itself was more spacious than I had anticipated, which was a nice surprise. We literally fit six massive bags in there and still had space to walk around. Couldn't hear the planes by the airport landing or taking off either. The room itself was perfectly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. No dust, no weird hairs, no dirt like the horror story reviews from other hotels - the room and the bathroom were clean and relatively modern. Massive TV with lots of good channels + Netflix, and the Wi-Fi was high speed and worked well for all of us. All meals came within the expected timeframe and were hot on arrival. Every single meal we had was delicious. I'm not talking slop - I'm talking salmon and vegetables on rice with carrot cake for dessert. I'm talking butter chicken with a side of caramel Oreo cheesecake. Large breakfasts with fruit and bacon and muffins and eggs and croissants. We were well fed, and the items came in surplus so we had leftovers that lasted throughout the day. Also - lots of water, we never came even close to running out of water and drinks. We were told on arrival that we were allowed a 15 minute walk outside each day, and we decided to take that opportunity. The outside area is spacious and green, with lots of trees and bushes. It was refreshing, and I'm grateful they gave us the opportunity to get some fresh air. A nice staff member escorted us outside, waited, and escorted back - she even answered some questions we had. Generally speaking, every staff member we interacted with us was very friendly and helpful. We ended up staying two nights in total, and checkout was easy. Our stay at the Toronto Airport Marriott almost made me forget how aggravating a mandatory hotel quarantine is in the first place. If you have to book a place, book here and make the best out of a bad situation. You get a clean and spacious room, plenty of opportunity for entertainment, great food that comes hot, a chance to get outside, and great service. Hope this helps.

Quarantine Stay - Not as bad as I had imagined I stayed at Toronto Airport Marriott for my hotel quarantine in June. I had chosen the hotel after a lot of research and while the quarantine package price was same across GAA hotels, the hotel had better reviews and more room size compared to most of the others. I was very apprehensive of how it would go but I must say I was highly satisfied with Marriott in the given circumstances. The welcome was good, the room was clean and the food was better than I had expected. I got my results in just few hours and so fortunately, my stay was cut short (non refundable but you get Reward points) from 3 nights to 1 night. A costly but comfortable stay with zero complaints.

3 day quarantine visit I stayed here for my 3 day mandatory quarantine period after arriving in Canada. I was very pleased with the hotel. The room was extremely comfortable and plenty of good food was delivered to your room three times a day. If anything else was needed, such as coffee, a message to reception through the app prompted a quick contactless delivery. There is a great garden that you can exercise in for short periods a couple of times a day. You have to book this and someone escorts you from your room. Every member of staff I met was extremely friendly and welcoming, in particular the wellness team who take you to the garden and back.

3 Night Quarantine - Not too bad, but incompetent staff ignore allergy/diet restrictions My wife and I completed our mandatory 3-night stopover at Toronto Airport Marriott. Pros: - Rooms were clean and comfortable - Food was tasty (when they got your order right) - Staff were accommodating for parcels and takeaway deliveries - Room service was quick and responsive - Check out procedure very easy Cons: - Staff don’t listen well to your meal requests - very hit or miss - Very wasteful The shuttle from the airport was straightforward, although the driver was quite stressed and agitated towards passengers. Once we arrived at the hotel we had to immediately fill out papers for the full 3 days of food and drink choices. We were tired and just wanted to get to our room - so trying to make all those decisions was the last thing we wanted to do... Maybe have guests fill out a card each evening and leave it on their door handle, with their choices for the following day? Having said that, the food we received was delicious with large portions. We were a little worried there wouldn't be any vegan options, but there was a couple - mostly some nice curries and stir fries. Unfortunately NO plant-based milk in the entire restaurant though! The breakfast power bowl was very good but a bit much at 7am - the next day I rang up to ask for an oatmeal with water instead of milk, which was perfect. Unfortunately, when we received our meals, we did also receive a lot of NON vegan food, even though we clearly marked our diet requests on the forms. This meant that with every meal, we'd have to ring up to check which bit was vegan since we couldn’t be sure. (Usually the main course was, but the dessert and other snacks weren't e.g. a vegan curry with non-vegan naan bread and a non-vegan cake). ***If you have a serious allergy, AVOID at all costs.*** We continuously and politely requested not to receive anything else non-vegan, and the front desk were very apologetic and polite - but didn't seem to communicate with the kitchen, as it continued to happen every meal! We understand mix ups happen, but it was really sad to know that all of this extra food was going to be thrown into the trash. The hotel also provided lots of bottled water, cutlery, milk, sweeteners, sugar, etc with every meal. We had a huge stockpile and, again, requested to stop receiving it - but it kept coming. It was so wasteful. Why not let guests opt-in to what they want, rather than just sending everything regardless? Food service aside, everything else about the stay was satisfactory. The room was comfortable, being able to walk outside to get some fresh air was much appreciated. Interactions with the staff were always pleasant and friendly (despite the mix ups). The TV in the room was great and very high quality. Free internet was decent. So, although we had a lot of frustrations, overall it wasn’t as bad as we were expecting.

3 Days Quarantine Just about to check out after my three nights of hotel quarantine. Upon arrival we filled out order forms for our meals for the duration of our stay. The meals were delivered at regular times and the food was absolutely delicious. I was worried I would go hungry but I actually didn't manage to finish any of the meals I got. We were allowed two outdoor breaks per day and there is actually quite a nice little green space to walk around or sit in. The room was very comfortable. Great big TV with streaming options such as Netflix and Amazon Prime available (you need your own log in to access these) All of my interactions with the staff were great, everyone was welcoming and very helpful. The room is a little bit dated but still clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel for quarantine but I'm sure it would be even better if you were staying during "normal times." Thank you for making this a surprisingly pleasant experience!
