Terrible Check in was terrible it took 2 hrs and 45 mins! When I finally received a room I trekked up 3 floors with my 3 kids and, suit case around the hotel only to find out that someone was already in our room, so after that I walk all the way back down stairs with my 3 kids and a suit case to get a different room which took another hour. Double assigning rooms is a huge safety issue and the fact that front desk wasn’t all that phased makes me believe that this happens often. It also put me on edge for the 2 nights we were there, and I wasn’t able to sleep due to this incident. The fact that the water park didnt open until 10a is ridiculous. Toddlers wake up early. I also couldn’t believe how terrible the food was for the cost. 55$ for 2 cold pizzas is unreal. I will not be staying here again, and will also be advising my very large connection of people with kids not to stay here as well. Not kid friendly when you have to wait multiple hours to do anything. I was also not impressed with your arcade. Extremely overpriced. My kids were distraught because they were only able to a total of 12 games 4 games each. I paid for a pup pass, and the food/fun pass which should’ve been more than enough. Absolutely ridiculous. Lower the prices per game in your arcade!!! It’s crappy that my kids stated that they have more fun at soaring eagle vs great lodge. Such a waste of money to stay at great wolf lodge. _

A stranger unlocked our door and walked in Check in was at 4pm and I was told that our room was “moments away” from being ready. 3 hours later, it was ready, but only when I asked for a 3rd time...there was never any notification or indication that ‘a moment’ was actually 4 hours. I understand that the hotel was busy but the lack of communication is what was frustrating. We waited in the lobby for a hour and a half with two kids, thinking it was almost ready before we gave up and went to get food. We finally got a room, and then at 930pm, someone else opened our room door and walked in! They’d been assigned our same room and were just as surprised as we were to find someone in it. Our keys no longer worked for the room we’d paid for. I went to the front desk and they didn’t seem surprised or even very apologetic that the safety issue occurred. I will say, they did compensate us for a portion of the bill because of the incident but I would rather have paid the regular rate and not had the safety issue of someone else having access to our room. The water park was nice though.

Great stay Great place to get away. Kids aged 2 to 10 all had fun. Property feels very secure and kids were able to explore on their own. Food options were great for a resort and priced reasonably. Check in was easy.Activities were very good also. We also enjoyed the bowling alley one night.

Too many additional fees Going to Great Wolf lodge has been a family tradition since 2015 that we will be ending this year. The experience has gotten more stressful than fun. Too many surprise fees. On top of their high resort fee they now have a nightly parking fee if you plan to park for more than 30 minutes…If you want a table at the waterpark those now come with a charge. Another thing that was disappointing was the tv’s they have always had in the Kid Cabin suite, near the bunk beds, that was gone this year.

Overall, a great experience with one downside! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City Michigan. The staff were very friendly and our rooms were great! The activities were fun for the kids and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had at a hotel. I would give five stars if it wasn’t for the charge for parking passes. They did not do this when we visited in the past. We were surprised and disappointed for the need to pay extra for parking when we had already paid a hefty fee to stay at the lodge!
