Not great Our first stay at the Park Place, excellent location, but that is the only good thing I can say about it. To be clear, we had our small dog so we had to stay in the west wing, so I don't know how the tower is, but it is older than the west wing. Upon checking in and exiting the elevator on the second floor it was immediately musty and smelled like wet dog in the hallway. Our room initially was better, but the smell deteriorated over the next few days. The room would not cool and would only reach a low of 74 which for my wife and I was too hot to sleep, and consequently it was also too humid which contributed to the musty smell I'm sure. The room overall was ok, nothing special, but felt clean, but the bathroom was tiny, room for only one at a time. Could not use the toilet or enter the shower without opening and closing the door to move. We requested clean towels by the third day, but they never came so we had to go to the front desk to ask again. The entire west wing needs a full demo and renovation clearly. We won't stay at the Park Place again....

Run, do not stay here This is NOT a luxury hotel for sure, barely fit in the bathroom and would not take my shoes off. Unwanted Guest as well_️.. Feels like they are still in the 80’s. The only good thing is the location, close to the water and the town which is walkable.

DO NOT STAY HERE The WORST hotel I’ve stayed at in years. Definitely not worth the price. The only reason it’s so expensive is because of the location, but it is a rundown nasty hotel. They claim it was all recently renovated during Covid, which is a joke. It’s uncomfortable smelly, the air conditioners are really strange in the rooms and it’s either really hot or really cold. They don’t clean unless you ask and even when you do, they still don’t clean because my room wasn’t touched the entire time I stayed. I had never been to Traverse City and was in town for work and this was recommended by a colleague. The reviews online were good and the pictures looked nice too but I don’t know where they got them because the hotel looks nothing like the pictures. I don’t know how they’re saying in business or why people are staying here because it is so nasty.

Very disappointing! I think it could have been better but, our first check-in we were given a room (after asking for a room with a view) a very large room nice bathroom until we opened the curtains and saw not one but two rooftops and a parking garage. I mean the dirty tar top of a building right outside our window. NO VIEW. My husband went back to the front desk and asked if we could please change rooms for a better view? Well, sure we could. We gladly move our things to the seventh floor and walk into a postage stamp room. I mean we could not pass each other the room was so cramped and small. The bathroom was so bad you had to move carefully or hit your back from the wall across from the seat. AND if that wasn’t bad enough if you closed the door to use the commode? You looked at yourself sitting there from the mirror on the inside door. Okay, you say, you asked for a new room? Well, I am not sure the individual at the front desk knows the definition of “view” because the room was only 5 floors above…yep…the same rooftop, the parking lot and only one side due to the building below us blocking anything else AND if you look to the right? A yellow blank wall that we could not see around. Geesh it was so unsatisfactory and my husband said no third move we may only get a closet!

Great place to stay! Small room and no view, but it was very clean and the bed and pillows were quite comfortable. Love the location of this hotel with everything within walking distance-restaurants, shopping, bars, live entertainment. Would definitely stay here again.
