The extra mile After an accidental booking of the wrong night, the Sonesta team graciously waived my cancelation fee's so that I could rebook for the correct night. They even went as far as to fight for this return though Hotel.com who refused to refund my money. They truly went above and beyond and I have to say I am grateful for all their efforts.

Progressively Disappointing Stay We (my partner, our child, and our dogs) stayed at this hotel for over two months between moving between houses. This hotel started as mildly disappointing but moved to being horrific by the last day. When we came, the rooms looked nothing like advertised. The chair was falling apart and peeling, the cupboards scratched, the tiles broken in the bathroom, the walls dirty, the carpet stained and smelly, and no chairs at the "table". The fridge, which was a dumpy discoloured white fridge, didn't work properly (freeze dethaw constantly). While they advertised coffee being available, this was not a service. It wasn't until months into staying here that we were advised we wouldn't be getting any points for our stays despite the front desk staff constantly saying they would look into it and asking for our travel pass membership number. The halls constantly smell like diapers and garbage. The staff is exceptionally rude. The doors are all broken. The tub didn't have a stopper. There were no glasses. There were no pot holders. When we needed towels, they were never ready. On our last day, even though we had booked another night, the front desk staff knocked on the door and rudely asked us to leave, before realizing they made an error. After noticing that, they did not apologize but continued to blame us. When the keys would randomly stop working (1-2 times a week), we would get an attitude about fixing them. The only good thing was the room size. I wish i could recommend to everyone to stay away from this place until management addresses the staffing and quality issues.

Beware of Parking Lot Friendly staff Rooms were okay could be cleaner. They need to do a thorough cleaning. Gigantic potholes in parking lot which aren't visible at night. Laundry room is available and free coffee. You have to bring your linen to front desk to exchange.

Poor Exception Handling - "Too bad for you" is not a helpful response In ordinary circumstances I can see why this would be an acceptable place to stay with two primary exceptions. The first exception is the staff's and management's poor exception handling during a power outage. The second is the enormous crater in the driveway, it's hard to see in the rain and I was afraid I'd bent a rim or suspension components. Oh, one more thing, there's a $5.00/day parking charge that I wasn't aware of that's in addition to your room rate. The room itself is consistent with and older budget property. It's nice that there are tables on each side of the bed, there are AC outlets. It's not modern enough to offer USB charging ports. The TV has HD channels and there's a real workstation chair. The kitchenette is also nice to have though this turned out to be mostly moot during my stay. Overall, good enough for a budget stay. Now, here's where the problems manifested. The night of my stay there were severe weather warnings and heavy rain. The room had power when I turned in but I woke up to a room with no power. This means no alarm clock, no lights, no AC, etc. There was enough light through my South facing window to move about the room and pack my things but that was about it. Problems associated with no power include: - I wasn't sure I gathered all of my belongings. - There's no light in the bathroom making showering a significant challenge and I declined to undertake it. - Try shaving in the dark. I did and did a poor but serviceable job - If you have business to do in the bathroom for which a fan is helpful forget it. Know that you'll be in total darkness unless you want to leave the bathroom door open. - No coffee. - Better hope the refrigerator stay cold enough. I checked out shortly after rising as there was little point to blundering around in the gloom. Thankfully the door locks are battery operated so you can get in and out of your room. Oh, by the way, the elevator is out of service. I mentioned the obvious lack of power to the desk when checking out and asked for an adjustment. I was told that it was the local power utility and beyond the control of the hotel. Therefore that I was unable to shower or use some of the basic/fundamental aspects of having rented a room is not their problem i.e., too bad for you. I sent feedback to Sonesta via their website and got an acknowledgement within 48-hours with a note that my concern has been shared with management. It's now over a week and no further contact has been received. With this experience I expect I'm ONE and DONE with Sonesta. My points are mostly with Marriott and Bonvoy and should be easily find alternatives. I've included photos feel free to have a look. Safe travels.

Comfortable & Clean We stayed here for a quick overnight passing through town & were very happy with our stay. The rooms were clean & comfortable, all we needed for one night. The one thing that was annoying was the girl that checked us in that acted like we were 5 & couldn't read as well as "blaming" me for having a mark on the reservation that looked like a middle initial? It was very odd and I still don't understand what the issue with that was. The towels were also in need of an update. They were clean, but thread bare & had strings hanging out all over them.
