Excellent spa services! I booked a spa afternoon and it was wonderful. The spa at Tubac Golf Resort & Spa is an amazing place, with great staff and excellent services. It’s a beautiful drive from Green Valley. The Sonoran facial by Miriam was wonderful and the Hacienda massage by Alex which almost put me to sleep. A wonderful afternoon and I will definitely be going again!

Humbug The spa closed early on Christmas Eve. I had the last appointment at 1 pm. Did not get started until 1:15 for a 50 minute massage with closing at 2 pm. Ended up having to get dressed while sitting on a rock outside the front door of the spa as door was being locked behind me.

Abysmal service in restaurant Friday night had made reservation three weeks in advance. Arrived on time. Restaurant was about one half full. Two areas. One hard surfaces and very casual and noisy and one near windows with a quieter atmosphere and more upscale decor. Reservations for four but we had three who could make it. We were dressed in smart casual. ( no ball caps). The two hostesses offered us a choice of a wooden booth or a table in the middle of the casual room. Wasn’t inclined to pay $50 for a steak in a bar atmosphere. We asked for a seat in the quieter area and we’re told no four tops available in that area. When one of us looked she saw a four top empty and asked about it. The hostess said it was set for 5 and the rest were 6 or 11 (?) tops and they wouldn’t seat us there. Note again it was 6:45 by now and there were several vacant tables. We left. Went 1/2 mile down street and had a lively Italian dinner wit no ball caps in sight.

Poor customer experience at Tubac Golf Resort We came to the resort for Thanksgiving 2023----- by the time we got to the buffet meal there was NO turkey left AND then all the food got cleared away about 7:30pm, prior to our group (and several others) finishing our meals. Hardly value for the pre paid dinner OR the way to encourage guests to return! A really disappointing experience and by the way the golf course is at best ho hum!

Wire tie in salad We’ve eaten here often and the food is good. Today I ordered the beet and berry salad. I was enjoying it until I was unable to swallow a bite and discovered a wire twist tie in my mouth. I guess I must have eaten the covering because only the wire loop was left. Our waitress Itzayana graciously returned it to the chef but then never returned with any explanation or comment from chef or management. When we flagged her down she said that they didn’t know what it was or how it happened and that they were discarding the salad. Later she dropped our bill off and didn’t return with our change. We were charged the full bill. The disappointment was not that we weren’t given an adjustment on the bill but that no one from management or the kitchen made any appearance or comment. I know that things happen but how a person is dealt with affects how they feel. I wish that I was at least spoken to about it. I’m a physician who spent his entire career in surgery. I know that if this wire had lodged in my esophagus no one would be happy..
