See Same Acts Here rather Than Phoenix at Lower Prices! Went tthere to see Gipsy Kings. Prices are lower for acts at this venue in Tucson as compared with seeing the acts in Phoenix. Venue was a little dated byt seating was confortable and not cramped together. Acoustice were great and $6 beers can't be beat!

Fine for a Night This is a casino resort on the outskirts of Tucson, next to the airport. For the most part, it's quiet although we did hear an occasional military jet. Check-in was quick and friendly, and our request for a two-bed room instead of the king we reserved was graciously granted. Although the room is starting to show its age and could use a little refreshing, it was clean (well, except for the used filter left in the coffee maker) and fairly well-appointed. The sheets are nice and the beds comfortable, but while the pillows are plentiful, are a bit lumpy. The bathroom was nice with little bottles of shampoo, lotion, and conditioner. We especially appreciated the separate room for the toilet. Our view was to the west and overlooked the desert dotted with mobile homes but the view of the far mountains was nice. What I didn't care for were the plantation shutters. They look nice but they don't pull open, plus the window itself was too high to sit in front of for a sunset view. Our big disappointment was when we went to the nice-looking pool area to enjoy the evening, there was a group of young guys with a bunch of kids who had brought their Bluetooth speakers and were blasting music, while the kids were running all over the place, leaving food scraps and garbage. I was surprised security or management allowed it (and I know the staff had to be aware as the front desk was right on the other side of the glass doors). Also, ashtrays were available everywhere so apparently, smoking is allowed around the pool and in the lounging area. The casino is huge with many modern "slot" machines although the machines tend to be a little tight. Blackjack, craps, and other card games are also available with minimums of $10 and above. We have eaten at the buffet in the past and it’s fine if one can get a $10 off coupon; otherwise, skip it. Other eating options are a 24-hour grill with not-so-great food with a horrible dining area, (best to get the food to-go and eat in the room or one of the hotel's lounging areas) and a restaurant that is only open something like Thursday-Sunday. There are at least three bars with another small one in the hotel area, and the hotel area also has a morning coffee bar with various coffee drinks for purchase. We had a standard room but there are also upgraded rooms with balconies although some overlook the parking lot, so be aware. We had a comped room and would stay for free again but if we had to pay, we would head west to Casino del Sol's nice hotel.

Won't stay there again Room was old and outdated. Bed was terrible, was hard as a rock. I could not believe there were no hand rails in the shower where someone could slip. I asked at check out about the hand rails in the tub, woman said they do have them on upgraded rooms. Come on, are you kidding me. Would not stay there again
