Not what we expected from a Double Tree This DoubleTree was a surprise, based on previous stops in other hotels in the group. The room was very dark. The restaurant was being remodeled, and the substitute dining in the breakfast area was not very enjoyable, not least the flacid margaritas! On arrival we were surprised that there was no coffee bar in the check-in area. Staff was pleasant but the experience was not very good. We'll look for a different hotel if we return to Tucson.

Great Choice for a Small Conference I recently stayed at the Double Tree Reid Park for a business conference and I really enjoyed myself. The things I liked about this property were the abundance of public lounge space and patio options, free parking, the gym, the restaurant, the bar, and the pool. Some things I didn't like were the small in-room fridge and the close proximity to Davis-Monthan Air Force base. The interior courtyard feels secure with little to no traffic noise so you feel isolated from the busy streets. There is plenty to do nearby, including Reid Park. I'm already planning to stay here again for another conference in June 2024.

Be Aware -Reservation Caution Sad place to stay—used to be nice. DO NOT choose a room with breakfast option when booking a reservation. Out of a choice of 8 breakfast options $15 and under on the menu —-the hotel chooses what you get to eat. Rise and Shine breakfast only== 1” square potatoes, ham or bacon, and eggs and toast. NO allowable changes to any menu offerings such as pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, omelette or burrito that costs $1 less or more than the Rise and Shine. Save your $40 room surcharge for a no choice breakfast and eat out at your local fast food or better yet - eat a homestyle breakfast for less at The Hungy Fox 2 blocks away.

Nice Place This hotel was such a nice surprise. Rooms were very clean, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was very good! We stayed in the courtyard rooms. Admittedly I was a bit apprehensive about that- but the courtyard was very pretty and parking seemed safe. It was a nice walk over to main building for breakfast. Totally would recommend this one to the weary traveler ❤️

Little attention to detail We traveled with a group. Rooms weren't all ready, no warm cookies, no bottle of water. The front desk attendant was very rude when I asked for a hair dryer, couldn't get one till after 9 am. We had to wheel our suitcases a long way on the outside of the building. The room needed to be vacuumed, and there was good water pressure, but hot water took a long time. Room 138. The fire pits had no propane, not even a propane tank, not the next night either. The restaurant was VERY expensive for what we got. About the only thing this hotel has going for it is the friendly wait staff.
