Everything that a Hotel Should Be After leaving another hotel because the air conditioner did not work, we luckily booked the Holiday Inn Express Tyler South. The hotel is clean, inviting, and easily accessible via Loop 323. The room was cool, dark, quiet, and comfortable. We liked everything about our stay. For a hotel literally booked within five minutes, we hit the jackpot! We will be back!

Hard to review At the time that I booked the room on the IHG website I was offered a 2 room suite upgrade for $10. I thought that was reasonable so I took it. That was a mistake! At check in we were told the spa tub did not work. Ok, no big deal as long as the shower works. The shower is the big spa tub, very difficult to get in and out of and the tub bottom was extremely slick. We put a towel down in the tub to stand on so we would not fall. Room smelled musty and old. They really need to invest in some new wheels for the luggage carts, the two we used were extremely difficult to push across the carpeting. BUT, the real reason for the room choice mistake is that the suites are located right up front next to the road! And it is a very busy, very loud road all night long! Perhaps other rooms towards the back of the hotel would be quieter but this room was not very quiet at all. Breakfast was your typical hotel fare,

Nice staff. Very outdated and in need of upgrades. Front desk staff are very friendly. Room was clean. This place is dated and worn out. Bathroom was in need of new everything. Lots of moisture damaged. Holiday inn express’s are going downhill all over the USA.

Ms. Shellie Arnold I was at an event the weekend of 15-17 September and had a awful experience with Ms. Sheillie Arnold. On Saturday, September 16, 2023 we were in the lobby of the hotel and some folks were watching the game on tv and Ms. Arnold kept approaching them stating that they had to be quite. She proceeded to go back behine the counter and I was stating to the ladies at the table that she was always approaching them telling them to be quite but there are a bunch of kids running around the hallway, knocking on doors and nothing has been said. She looked over at the table and said "Do you have a problem with me?" I thought she was talking to someone else until she proceeded to come from behind the counter, walked up to the table and stated again "do you have a problem with me?" I proceeded to tell her "if I had a problem with her, I would have addressed her". she stated "I guess you want me to close it down?" As a paid guest, I thought her behavior was unprofessional, hostile, threatening, and disrespectful. No matter what the situation was right or wrong, Ms. Arnold should have never approached me in a hostile manner or threatening way. I will NEVER stay at another Holiday Inn Express and Suites if this is how you treat guest.
