bathroom sink is in the main sleeping room clean, good breakfast, odd layout. The hotel has been refurbished and it is very nice and modern. The bathroom sink is directly in front of the bed in the sleeping area. The toilet and shower are in a private room with a door. The light in the shower room is on a timer and kept going off in the middle of my shower! Staff was friendly, helpful, breakfast was the usual and good. Nice place but odd layout.

Some good, some not so good things We were on the 6th floor with a king room that had a couch, separate room with fridge/freezer, coffee maker (no cups, had to go get some from the front desk), a/c with wall controls. Bathroom had walk-in shower with 3 towels, plenty of hot water and decent pressure. The sink was outside of the bathroom. The a/c unit was right next to the bed so it was blowing on me directly and it was hard to regulate the temperature. Thankfully they had an extra blanket in the closet. The bed was very soft - a little too much even for my husband. The breakfast was typical hotel food. Good coffee and the toaster actually worked! They also have coffee and food for sale after breakfast hours. The biggest complaint was there were workers staying on the third floor with kids and one of them was running down the halls screaming for a long time. My husband walked out into the hallway and spoke with the parent. It took a while, but the child finally settled down. Although the hotel was convenient for us, I would look for another place to stay in the area.

Decent Hotel The hotel is undergoing a renovation right now which it badly needed. Many of the rooms are now remodeled but they are refacing the building and as such that is bit of a inconvenience. It looks like it should be done soon.

2 night stay Our family was in town for a funeral and we picked the Hyatt Place Detroit / Utica. We needed 6 rooms and they all were very nice, clean and comfortable. We really liked the setup with couch and sitting area. Also loved the cubby / shoe / or whatever area under the TV. Nice for all our shoe changes! Breakfast was VERY good with alot of options for all. Hot foods were hot and fresh, Cold items cold. Some items changed on the second morning which was nice to shake it up some. The lady who took care of breakfast was hopping and did a fantastic job keeping it all stocked and clean! Overall our stay was great except for our circumstances of being in town. Highly recommend this location!

Small family vacation I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and interaction with the host at the front desk. They were very accommodating.
