Sitzmark Vail

Freshly renovated hotel. Great Location. Friendly staff. Immaculate. We stayed at the Sitzmark for four nights in July. The hotel was totally redone and is really pretty and tasteful. The staff were all amazing always smiling and willing to help. The room and bathroom were immaculate. The beds were really comfortable. The The room we had was 350sq feet, but somehow it seemed really small and claustrophobic for us. The table was tiny, there is no luggage rack, so we had to unpack our suitcase while it was on the floor. There were 3 lousy tiny drawers to place our belongings into. Certainly not enough for our four night stay. The refrigerator is probably meant to keep a few beers and water bottles, certainly not a few days' worth of food. See photo. The bathroom door is a sliding door, which I didn't really have an issue with since I was there with my husband only, but a)the door doesn't really stay closed, unless you close it veeeery carefully b) anyone standing at the door can totally look in through the large enough space at the edge of the door. So if you mind people peeking while you're taking a shower or sitting on the toilet, you might have an issue with the sliding doors!! There is no clock in the room!!! The rooms all have balconies which we really enjoyed. The pool and hot tub were clean and empty most of the time. I really think it was terrific that throughout our stay I did not hear a peep from another room. The room seemed to be soundproof to me. I am a very light sleeper. I have not heard talking nor the tv from rooms attached to mine. Nor have I heard flushing or showering from the bathroom attached to mine. It was in a great location. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Sitzmark and will probably choose to stay there when we return to Vail.

Amazing Stay at the Newly Renovated Sitzmark I just returned from a stay at the Sitzmark. It was my first time back since the renovation was fully completed this Summer. Wow. It’s now a luxury boutique hotel in best village location. I will never need to decide where to stay in Vail again.

Sitzmark Vail Renovation While this was not our first trip to the Sitzmark in Vail, it was our first since the renovation and it did not disappoint. The room upgrades are amazing and the lobby is so much more open and welcoming. The staff was knowledgeable and helped shape a great summer experience in Vail Village. A new addition to the attached retail space is the Archetype Distillery offering a wide and creative selection of spirits. The addition of the distillery and the upgrade to the hotel lobby will make this property a great destination for apres skiing in high season. Given our experience this summer, the Sitzmark Vail will continue to be a preferred destination for our family for all seasons.

In the heart of Vail As frequently noted this location is great. Close to restaurants, shops and a comfortable walk, even carrying skis, to Gondola One. We also found the bus stop near Solaris a great option to go right to Lionshead. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast is good and very convenient when you want to hit the slopes early. While the rooms will benefit by the upcoming changes we find them comfortable and clean.

Great location for skiing and entertainment. The remodel is exquisite! I just got back from staying 4 days in the penthouse apartment. The remodel is exquisite! The new ownership is doing a great job of keeping the charm that we have come to know from the Sitzmark with the modern amenities and finishings of a 5 start resort. I can't wait to come back when the rest of the hotel finished its remodel!
