Weekend excursion to Valle de Bravo Great restaurant buffet overlooking their pool area and golf course. Camareros were very attentive for a self serve buffet. Very helpful getting drinks and quick to clear your table settings so that we could make another trip to the dessert table. We liked the area so much that we inquired about the hotel rooms. The rooms were great but if you have several guests then they had houses as options for rent too.

Disappointing Stay Despite High Expectations As a parent traveling with young children, I chose Hotel Avandaro for our family vacation because I anticipated exceptional service and facilities, reflective of its reputation and pricing. Unfortunately, our experience has fallen far short of these expectations, which motivates me to share our experience for the benefit of future guests and, hopefully, for the improvement of the hotel. From the start, our stay was marked by a series of failures in service and amenities. Upon arrival, we were greeted with an inoperative room phone, a lack of internet connectivity, and a lack of hot water. Additionally, an extra bed we had requested was not prepared, setting a disappointing tone for our visit. A simple poolside lunch order took excessively long to arrive the next day, leaving my children hungry and frustrated. This delay in service was not an isolated incident; room service repeatedly failed to deliver on time. On one occasion, a basic order of yogurt and fruit for our dinner took an astonishing 90 minutes to arrive, long after my children had gone to sleep hungry, despite an initial estimate of 45 minutes. Additionally, the hotel's decision to distribute chocolates at 10 p.m., though well-intentioned, was ill-timed for a family with young children already asleep. This interruption was the last thing we needed after a day of continuous disappointments in service. I understand that occasional lapses in service can occur. However, when choosing a hotel of Hotel Avandaro's caliber and price, one expects these occurrences to be exceptions, not the norm. I must say that what was offered was far from premium service, and my expectations of a high-quality experience were not met at all. I express my dissatisfaction in the hope that Hotel Avandaro will address these issues to meet the expectations of future guests seeking a premium experience. I sincerely hope this feedback is received in the spirit of constructive criticism to improve the experience for all guests. Despite these challenges, we found aspects of the hotel and its setting enjoyable, but unfortunately, they were overshadowed by the mentioned issues.

Incredible grounds with spectacular pool The property is unreal. We spent the day exploring the grounds and had lunch. The service is slow but relaxed. The food is very delicious. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quick get away from Mexico City as it is a quick trip from the city

Very tranquel, nice weekday trip! I really enjoyed my stay w/Mina (my Dog) at the really a compound, Hotel Arandaro. It is a pretty big facility, and apparently has been there for 65 years. Mariano one of the Managers caught me walking and getting lost the first morning and stopped to introduce himself and his coworker. Very nice guys, and did speak English. And walked me down to their pavilion really, that houses the office w/plenty of computer docks and plugs to work all day and night if you want. The restaurant/bar is all wood and very nice. Food is good as well. I saw a pool table but didn't want to lose any money etc.. They have a nice terraced area down to a nice pool, tennis courts, and golf course. If you want to have a nice away from it all location, then this will fit the bill. The employees are all very low key about your presence if you want. The room (#168) was very comfortable. Comfortable beds, nice private terrace, and spacious bathroom, and carport for your car. Just remember that it does take actual manual labor at times to maintain the gardens etc...so if you hear swishing, and cutting sounds every so often, hey, the place looks beautiful. That's why! My dog Mina is a very easy going dog, so that always helps, but they really do cater to dogs. Be sure to discuss "the day rate" on your pet. I didn't see it noted on the website, and said something about that. The bill didn't reflect a charge, so that was cool. It's about a 30 minute drive into Centro of Valle de Bravo, which you should at least touch base with for an afternoon. I/we've been visiting here over a number of years, so just know that the weekdays Mon-Fri are very different in energy wise on the street than the weekends. Many, many Mexico City "weekenders" arrive, and you will know it. You read it here first. To me, it's like a Mexican Lake Tahoe, w/o the Gamblers or Downhill Skiers!

Beautiful location but mediocre service plus they are under construction We went last weekend for the first time to Valle and stayed here because some people recommended and we couldn’t be more disappointed. Their outdoor area is well kept and beautiful but they are under construction and the service is mediocre. The only good thing about our weekend was the pool towel guy that was very nice and Romina the waitress. First the check in area is a joke: tiny, one computer and one person. So if you get there and there are several people ahead of you, you are going to wait a while. Second, the bedrooms were okay but is had a weird smell that I thought it was mold but it’s actually the wood from the ceiling. The bathroom is so dark and the shower is by the glass door so the bathroom floor is always soaked. We saw pictures of mini golf that no longer exists. So they said they have ping pong. We were by the pool, we had to walk past the pool, and after the construction and go to the store to ask for the rackets. When the lady handed to us, one was cracked and there was only one ball. _ I was in shock that an expensive place like this one had those old rackets and one ball only. So we walk all the way back to the ping pong table that was covered and there was no net. And the table was in horrible shape. We end up walking back and returning the racket and the lady said she was going to take a look (net) and never did. We had dinner on Friday and Romina, our server was great! I had the most delicious soup and pizza and everything else was perfect and delicious. We thought of leaving but we decided to check their breakfast that I thought it was included. They charged my child an adult buffet to have a glass of milk and 1 mini pancake. We decided to leave so we informed the front desk we were checking in earlier. The rep said he would talk to the Manager. Never did because we never received any messages or emails or calls from anyone. They could have fixed the bad experience we were having but they didn’t care to do it. The weather got very nasty and we decided to stay as we didn’t want to drive back home like that. We decided to have dinner at José again because it was the only amazing experience we had. Romina was our waitress again __ and we ordered the exact same soup and pizza and for sure the Chef was not there because the soup was tasteless. My artichoke soup was so creamy and delicious on Friday night but on Saturday was mediocre. We were really disappointed and thankful we were leaving the next morning. If we had pay like 100USD per night or less I would be okay with everything but we paid several times that so I expected an amazing service and we didn’t get that. The pool was good and heated. But we tried to use the tennis court but it was booked all morning. So our experience was mediocre.
