Awaken by a leaf blower at 6:00 am! I stayed here for several days, the staff was friendly and my room was kept clean by housekeeping. The free WiFi always connected quickly. Everything was going smoothly and I thought that this was going to be a 4 star but something happened the morning before I checked out that made me drop the rating by one star. On the 21st of July I had to get up at 6:00 am, I had a lot of work to do and didn't get back to the hotel till 11:00 pm. I was dead tired and got to bed at midnight and was looking forward to a good sleep. At 6:00 am I was awaken by the soothing sound of a leaf blower that sounded like it was right outside my window. Really? Someone thought that this was a good idea? After some time the noise stopped and I drifted back to sleep. At 7:30 am guess who was back for round two? If you guess Mr. Leaf Blower you would be correct!

Disieving. PLEASE DON'T. This hotel is Awful. The photos and description is totally disieving. There is no bar or restaurant which they advertise as having. The rooms are very old and dated, chipped furniture. There is even a sign outside saying "Cocktails". But no bar? We were due to stay for 6 nights, but left after 1. Please do not bother, first we were told that the hotel was being refurbished after being closed. Then we were told that there were no facilities because they were shut over Covid ( how long ago was that people) Stuck in the 70s. We booked a view of the Van Nuys Airport, which we got. Unfortunately 2 of the windows were smeared in something which made looking out very difficult. Only good thing was the 2 staff when we checked in, very helpful and they provided us with a fridge.

Terrible Holy moly! We have been using this hotel for 6 plus years. Last time being September 2023. Holy Hell has things changed. Apparently there is no more upkeep given to this hotel. No more security into and out of the parking lot. Exterior walls smashed in. Doors into the hallways where the rooms are propped open with rocks. The fitness center is a joke. No weights in the barbell rack. Looks like it’s lost in the 80’s. The breakfast was coffee and danishes nothing like its pictured on their website. No tea. No coffee pots in the room, no ice on the first floor. No mini fridge. The carpets are gross. I watched a lady ask for new towels because her daughter dropped one on the floor and she would not use it. If that is any indication. We could not check in because of a computer glitch. A gentleman went to the front desk 3 times because his key would not work. That is annoying. The fire alarm went off multiple times like 10 for over an hour at 10 pm. No indication of whether there was actually a fire or not. I called the front desk and was made aware there was a glitch. There’s that word again. The room next to us, we could hear a woman yelling because the child was woken up by the alarm and was crying. 10 pm side door still propped open! Not safe! Anyone can walk in from the back parking lot. Now the parking lot, not safe! Unstable ground, pot holes! Be careful! And lastly the TV. It turns on randomly. Like 3:48 am and 3 more times until I finally got up and unplugged it. This place use to be a beautiful hotel. Now you see the Clipper room full of mattresses and the hotel run down. The coolest part is the plane decor! Stay away. I wonder what rooms the private pilots and VIP’s stay in. Because it’s not the same one we did!

Very Welcoming The people at the front desk were super sweet. They opened the pool for us and gave us an extra couple of towels. The lady at the front desk, especially was so nice and welcoming and sweet and friendly, and made us feel safe to be there. The hotel experience was an overall great time. Thank you again!
