Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Van Wert by IHG

One night was enough It’s a Holiday Inn Express. A once revered hotel chain for a quick overnight stay is now slipping into the, “Motel 6” of yesteryear. It is in dire need of upgrading/renovations. Front staff were pleasant and breakfast was what you should expect at this price point.

An older property but we enjoyed our stay! I was visiting the Van Wert area with a friend over a weekend in March 2022, and we had the opportunity to spend a Saturday night at this hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay! The check-in process was okay, and we were able to check in early which I greatly appreciated. The computer was a bit slow in printing a receipt acknowledging that I' paid with cash for the room, but no biggie. Our room (#317) was clean and comfortable... we had no issues whatsoever. I appreciated the fact this hotel had a business center that I was able to use for catching up on my social media, and breakfast in the morning was very good. The only downsides are that you can tell that it's an older building and that the indoor pool does not have a hot tub (we knew this before we'd made the reservation), but honestly, it's probably the best hotel in Van Wert. Also, we were given a room near the elevator despite my request in the initial reservation for a room away from the elevator. (My request for having a room on the top floor was granted - but not the request about it being away from the elevator.) That last thing wasn't a huge deal and wasn't worth the hassle of going back and asking for a different room. We had no complaints at all. We slept well. Our stay was very nice and I'd gladly stay here again if I ever need a room in Van Wert in the future. :)

Fit my needs for a business trip Had business trip to Van Wert and this was really the only hotel I considered. I was satisfied all around. I had a suite with a comfy living room area. Sleep quality was good. Quiet all around from adjacent rooms and the hallway. Bed was comfy with good pillows. Climate control provided consistent temps throughout the night. Breakfast was better than expected especially for grabbing things to go. If in Van Wert again, I'd be happy to stay at this Holiday Inn Express.

Great Been here on and off for the last 3 weeks and it's very nice the staff are wonderful and it's good value for your money. Even the breakfast that is served in the mornings is very nice and the facilities are clean

Good Holiday Inn Stayed here on a work trip to Delphos, OH. Not too many options around Delphos so I opted for this Holiday Inn and I was happy with my choice. This Holiday Inn lives up to the typical Holiday Inn style and breakfast is as expected.
