What you’d expect from a Hyatt but nightly pricing too high… Upon speaking to locals we quickly discovered that the outrageous pricing for Vancouver hotels isn’t unique to this hotel. We’ve been told since COVID hotels appear to think they can charge what they like. The pricing at this hotel was far more than what it should be per night. The service and room was what you’d expect from the Hyatt, but the pricing was too high per night.

Downtown Convenience We were pleasantly surprised how easily this Hyatt location was to arrive from the Airport using the Sky Train. Only a 5 minute transfer at Waterfront to the Burrard Station, which is literally across the street from the Hotel's entrance. It's also perfectly situated to walk the downtown area and connect to public transport if needed. The car rental kiosk across from the front desk was very useful. There is also a Rexall Drug Store & McDonald's connected on the ground floor.

Convenient Location During our first trip to Vancouver, we decided to stay Downtown. The hotel's location was fantastic - just a short 10-15 minute walk to the Waterfront, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby. The Burrard Station was just a few feet away, making it convenient to catch the train. Additionally, the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park shuttle picked up and dropped off at this location. The hotel had a heated pool, accessible through the gym entrance, and a water station was available next to the gym, so there was no need to buy water. There were two restaurants inside the hotel, as well as a Starbucks in the lobby. Tim Hortons and McDonald's were just a few feet away from the hotel entrance.

Great location and great hotel. Its a great location minutes away from Vancouver Waterfront. Hotel has all the needed facilities with Starbucks on the site makes things easy for coffee and quick breakfast. Their buffet breakfast is decent value too. We loved their "The Grain" bar. Our bartender Sam has awesome knowledge of cocktails. If you are visiting Vancouver for catching cruise or just visiting, this location and hotel is right on the spot.
