Revised review due to excellence in service. This is an update to my last review. My last review for the same date range, July 2024, was initially three stars. I am now upgrading that to five stars. Here is the reason why: I received a call from management to apologize, explaining that there was a glitch in the system. Despite my having booked a club level room, somehow that was missed. Therefore, when I was upgraded, club level was not attached. This would not have happened without the glitch. Regardless, the breakfast at Oceans 999, which we were very unhappy with and found very expensive, is now covered and will not be charged. The fact that it was acknowledged as an issue and the fact that we did not have to pay for the breakfast makes us feel a lot better. This completely changes, my perspective and I am very happy with the fact that the hotel clearly shows its care for customers as well as great service. Therefore, this makes the hotel a five star establishment and we would most certainly stay again, ensuring club level, which we prefer.

Absolutely fantastic! We were wowed from the moment we stepped into the Pan Pacific in Vancouver - a beautiful hotel with elegant décor, spacious and so clean too. All the staff members we met were so helpful and friendly. There is a big information desk on the ground floor giving details and leaflets about the various different attractions in and around Vancouver. The lobby, reception, bar and restaurant are on the first floor accessed either by escalator, stairs or lifts. The bar is great - lots of comfortable seating and it offers a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices with good views overlooking the cruise port. We had a harbour view club room and the view was amazing - we could admire the massive cruise liners and enjoyed watching the seaplanes take off and land every few minutes. Club lounge access was great with a good quality coffee machine and tasty snacks such as fruit pastries, home-made cookies and sweets. In the evening we enjoyed the complimentary hors d'oeuvres and soft drinks. Alcoholic drinks are not included but are available to purchase. We had breakfast in the Oceans 999 restaurant and there were plenty of choices of hot and cold food, all of which were of excellent quality. The swimming pool and sun terrace were lovely with sufficient seating around and a bar which was good. The location of the hotel as part of the Canada Place complex is amazing and in addition to being the best place to see cruise liners, it is only a short walk from attractions such as Gas Town, Maple Tree Square and the lovely unusual Steam Clock that has chimes with the same tune as Big Ben. The Pan Pacific is a great place to stay before either departing on a cruise from Vancouver or before travelling on the Rocky Mountaineer train as they have their own office located on the 2nd floor in the hotel so you can check in there the day before and receive your boarding passes and luggage labels. We did not want to leave the Pan Pacific - it is one of the best places that we have ever stayed in - and we wished we could stay longer and would most definitely stay here again.

Great location but hotel mediocre The location can’t be beat for anyone taking an Alaskan cruise. The rooms are very expensive and the restaurant and lounge were just okay. The worst part of the experience was the pool…it was very old and the tile grout was covered in black mold. The mold flaked off and was all in the water - really gross!

Standout in Service Booked in to the Pan Pacific Vancouver for just one night. Taking in a great Norah Jones concert, and decided to relax downtown afterwards, and not tackle a 2 hour drive home. It is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Starting to show its age in places, but well maintained. The staff all seem content, and the service we got throughout the hotel was exemplary (other than the Coal Harbour Bar). Our Deluxe King room was roomy, with lots of glass, sadly little overlooking the water though. I would imagine some views are stunning. The bed and bedding are also top notch, and we slept very well. It is a bit pricey, but it wouldn't be a hardship booking another stay at the Pan Pacific.

Wonderful hotel at a great location! During my recent stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, I experienced a delightful blend of exceptional service, delicious food, and stunning views that made my visit truly memorable. Mihir Parekh at the front desk was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, he providing us with helpful information about the hotel and local attractions. His professionalism and friendliness set a positive tone for our entire stay, making us feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Food at the hotel lounge on the 23rd floor was another highlight. The lounge staff were attentive, and Sarah Trivedi in particular, was wonderful and very accommodating to us since we had a restrictive veg diet and she brought in food from the restaurant downstairs when there wasn’t enough vegetarian food in the lounge. The atmosphere was relaxed and the views spectacular, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. One of the most breathtaking aspects of my stay was the view of the bay from my room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver.
