Theft from room and Hotel Management refuse to cooperate with police Property stolen from room. Not fault accepted by hotel or any assistance provided to remediate and reimburse my niece who had a bag of souvenirs and gifts for her siblings and parents stolen. Aside from us two the only people who had access to the room was hotel staff. I had a picture taken of room after arriving to share with family showing bag on my bed in room so it was there. General Manager has not responded to my email to provide assistance to police after I lodged a report and was requested to advise hotel to provide police any CCTV or door access logs. If a hotel expects guests to feel safe and their belongings secure they need to adequately respond to events like this and not just leave a young girl out of pocket having searched high and low for nice gifts. All in all it was about $650 USD but I would have expected the very least compensation but not only was that not forthcoming they didn’t even cooperate with police. I would stay clear if you value your possession and don’t want to waste holiday time searching and lodging police reports to no avail.

Great Location, Great Staff & Pretty Good Value Of the three hotels that we stayed at in Vancouver, during our recent visit, this hotel represents by far the best value accommodation and I'd certainly stay here next time we're in town. Need to know: *Location: Very central & rooms offer great views of the city. *Staff: Very friendly and they are happy to help with directions and suggestions for where to eat etc. (the concierge will provide a map upon request). *Rooms: Clean and roomy (although I would say that the settees are not that comfortable) *Bathroom: There is a combined bath and shower. Bath is at a low level and so access to the shower is easy (also shower curtain rail is curved outwards to allow more room) Would I stay here again? Yes!

Good value but needs some work The Landis is in a good location and reasonably priced for a suite that sleeps 5, which isn't always easy to find. Pros: -- Suite was very spacious -- Kitchen had most of the essentials (could have used a can opener) -- Beds are comfortable -- Shower water pressure is good -- Shared pool with the Residence Inn was lovely -- Parking was reasonably priced ($20/night) and convenient Cons: -- No breakfast, but there is a great 24/7 cafe across the street and Tim Hortons a block away -- Hallway carpet is very dirty and the hallways smelled quite stale -- Toilet paper and shampoo were low quality -- Windows let in a lot of street noise, even on the 14th floor

Poor customer service Had booked 2 rooms for a trip to Vancouver but had to cancel the trip last minute without being able to have access to any internet connection. Unfortunately the manager did not accept my request to agree on a cancellation free of charge while we had to cancel but would have love to maintain our trip and couldn’t cancel on time. Had some emails exchange explaining my situation and only had 2 responses with exactly the same time answer. No effort made to hear me out or formulate a personalized message. Moreover the manager does not seem to want to talk to me as I called from France to discuss and she did not even deign to talk to me. Such a customer service quality for a hotel that is supposed to be a bit premium (that is why we chose it at first).

Great location for a family base in Vancouver but badly needs modernisation. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment. Decor tired and in dire need of an update! TV also old and not compatible with modern devices. The beds were ok but not overly comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic for a family base to explore the city.
