BED BUG HOTEL I stayed here for five nights and got bitten by bed bugs. On the penultimate night I reported the matter to the manager Errol realising it was happening whilst I was laying in bed. He moved me to another room and his colleague took photos of my back where had been bitten, I had bites on my left arm and right too. The next morning I spoke to another manager Tomas who agreed to suspend payment pending an investigation, The following week I got a call from another manager Harvind who said he could offer me a 10 percent discount for the distress I had suffered - FOR ONE NIGHT. I rejected the offer and said to see an end to the matter I will pay 50 percent for the whole stay. Given the price you pay for rooms you do not expect to receive bed bug bites or any other type of bites. He said he would speak to his manager when I got home they took payment from my credit card without further discussion. Booking.com have said it is clear I got bitten whilst there and the photographs speak for themselves but have not been of any further help. I am so disappointed with this so called prestigious hotel for the way I have been treated. I am now looking at taking legal action.

An Elegant Place to Stay Beautiful place to stay while in Vancouver. We were able to check in early and the one of the staff knocked our door shortly after we got to our room and handed us a small box of chocolates along with 2 bottles of water(they didn’t know we’re celebrating our anniversary until we checked in). The concierge was very helpful when we inquired of what kind of things we could do the next day. Hotel room was clean, and we were very happy the next day that the staff had been in and cleaned and straightened up our room. We would stay there again!!!!

Terrible checkin in experience all three times Check in experience was the worst I have experienced in all my travels. Arrived from Australia and was told I had not paid despite pulling out the confirmation on my iPad. Then asked for my credit card statements. I then went to LA came back and was met again by another robotic check in person that despite it being 4pm said my room was not ready. I had a family engagement I had flown in for at 5pm. I complained. Front office manager was not helpful and gave me the keys to a room, I asked him to show me where it was. He declined. I found it myself and it was old, dark and felt like a hospital respite room. I then went back to reception, waited again and finally someone gave me a room similar to the first one, albeit with twin beds instead of a king. No room service (limited times the restaurant in the foyer will bring you food from their menu at $5 CAD extra). My bathroom flooded into the foyer of my room (pipes were gurgling) no one seemed to care and indeed challenged me as to why I was calling housekeeping. Felt all a bit Faulty Towers. Concierge and doorman work hard and the location is good as is the view from the newly renovated rooms.

Sutton Place, wow, what a place. This is a great hotel, from the valet to the room, such a welcome, polite and friendly staff to offer any assistance needed. Separate elevators to the parking garage I found advantageous, not having to wait for the right one to arrive. The room was spacious and comfortable, well equipped and modern, word of warning, don't use the mini bar if on a budget. This was 5 star all the way, would love to visit again. Handy for the city centre and some great restaurants, shopping is so close with high end retailers literally on the corner. You can walk to Gastown in 20 minutes or the harbour in 10, great location.

Reluctant to stay there again After paying $800 for one night to see a 'big ticket event', only to find our vehicle and the vehicle beside us, were both broken into. Perhaps the hotels that jack up their prices for these events could hire extra security or install cameras in their underground parkade?
