Room for improvement! I booked a King suite and upon checkin, was put in accessible room with no desk/chair for working on with my laptop. I tried to have the room switched to the category I selected but was told the hotel was sold out. The staff brought up an extra small dining table and a chair from their ballroom but as it turned out, in the accessible room, the only ethernet connection was at the small, square dining table. The bed was hard, and I've noticed that two separate Homewood Suites had repurposed old bed skirts as a sheet on top of the regular sheet and a thin duvet cover (pocket style) over top. There was no luggage rack, no way to stream to either tv and the room smelled heavily of Fabreze. This is also a fairly noisy location. When I compared the same suite at Springhill Marriot (they share the same lane way), money is probably better spent at the Marriot. The free breakfast was alright!

Close to Wonderland and Vaughan Mills Mall. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. Two minor issues. First, the couch pull-out is terribly uncomfortable. Killed my neck and back. Would have been more comfortable to just sleep on it as a couch, rather than a pull-out. So room could accomodate three people. Maybe kids wouldn't mind the pull-out but my old bones didn't like it. Having said that, the room is great. Nice size, clean. Second minor issue was the breakfast. They offer a better variety of breakfast items, both hot and cold, more so than any other place I have stayed, however I would only know this because I can read the labels. They were out of many items. The kitchen staff were working so hard though to keep up with the volume of people. Best get there early of you want to take advantage of all they offer. All in all, the stay was great, coffee is good and staff are excellent.

Close to Canada’s Wonderland We picked this location because of its proximity to Canada’s Wonderland and decent price range, which includes a hot breakfast, free parking and spacious rooms. Travelled with family (teenager and two adults). When booking online be conscious of the differentiation between smoking and non-smoking rooms, as to my surprise, I picked a smoking room without realizing it, and the smell was overwhelming and disgusting. I didn’t realize you could still smoke inside hotels, so if you are looking for this as an option, this is your place! If not, you might be a bit disappointed. There is no way of opening windows and no balcony/walkout. Bizarre that there are smoking restrictions right outside of the hotel entrance, but you can smoke inside the building?! Staff was really understanding and accommodated us the first night by putting us in a non-smoking room (upgrade free of charge), and the second night, we toughed it out, as they were fully booked. Woke up feeling like a night out in the 1990s with dry throats and a headache. On top of that, we were woken up by the neighboring guests that decided to start blasting their music with heavy bass at 2:00 am. Staff onsite initially tried to address the issue, but noise continued on afterward. Would recommend larger suites on second floor or other floors, but not staying on 1st level unless you are fine with the smell of cigarettes and want the option to smoke inside your room.

Rude staff - room reeked of cigarettes Worst hotel stay we’ve had. Stayed for a hockey tournament. When we arrived our room reeked of cigarette smoke. I called the front desk and was told it wasn’t a smoking room and there weren’t any other rooms available. We reached out to the sales manager for the hotel/hockey tournament the next morning. Later that day a VERY rude male manager called our team manager yelling at her that they hadn’t be able to reach me. No one had confirmed my phone number when we checked in and they had the wrong number, but we had been in our room until 11am that morning. He demanded approval to move our stuff to a new room, but I explained our bags were completely unpacked and we wouldn’t be back till the evening. The staff then went in our room and I got another call back that our stuff couldn’t be moved because it wasn’t packed (which I had already explained) and we’d have to stay another night in that nauseating room. The next morning I had to pack our entire room before we left for an early game so that we could finally be moved. The staff was so rude about the whole situation. My daughter had headaches both nights from the strong, disgusting smell. Having to re-pack and move after the second night was inconvenient, but necessary. Would never stay there again, nor will the rest of our team. Yuck.
