Venice on the Beach Hotel

God but it could be better The staff is very kind and helpful, but the facility requires maintenance. It’s a shame because the location is truly exceptional, but its potential is not being utilized. The terrace and the garden furniture, despite the known challenges due to the aggressiveness of the salt air given the seaside location, are very deteriorated. The oceanfront room is tiny and doesn’t even allow for a suitcase to be opened without obstructing movement around the bed. The bathroom door drags on the floor and doesn’t open properly, and the refrigerator is extremely noisy at night. The bathroom is very small, but the shower is large enough. All the taps and metal parts are rusty, making even clean areas seem dirty. It’s great that hot and cold water dispensers, a kettle, and a microwave are available for a quick breakfast (although nothing is provided, not even tea or instant coffee) if you buy something from outside. In conclusion, the advantage is the location; the disadvantages concern the facility, but it’s hard to find much better in that area.

A big no go! Venice on the beach. This hotel was the worst disappointment of our 4 week holiday. The first disappointment was the reception clerk saying that there was no parking space for our car on the hotel premises, so we had to park our car on the public road. This was told to us by the most uninterested and rude reception clerk, we have ever met. There is no elevator. Then we entered the room where we were attacked by a thick gloric smell that made me instantly sick for 2 days. Then we found the earplugs on the nightstand, that says enough on it own. Then we wanted to load our telephone / computer, where the sparks came out of the lose hanging socked from the wall. In the room only 2 sockets. Very dangerous! The bathroom was another disaster: grotty, dirty with cracked tiles and dirty corners. Therefore shower with your eyes closed and pray for the best. The internet-wifi is either very very slow or not working at all. The heating / airco is not functioning so we had to sleep in a very cold room. The safe was locked when we entered the room and was therefore not usable for us. No fresh towels are provided during the stay and the rooms are really noisy, you can hear the neighbors literally. All in all: a big disaster and a big NO-GO, avoid these hotel premises! Hopefully the bed bugs have not found this hotel. You can go up to the reception desk with this list of malfunctions and they might solve 1, 2 or maybe 3. Though for the price this hotel charges, you want it to work all instantly.

LOVED it ! DIRECTLY on beach ! What a little boutique gem DIRECTLY on the beach ! * Extremely welcoming and friendly staff . *Allowed us to leave our luggage while waiting for our room (we got there early from the cruise ship) . *Complimentary bikes to use also. *Room was clean and Bright and had ocean view. *Close to restaurants/bars to the left of the hotel (off the pier) *Bike path *Directly on the walkway to the right with shops/ treats/ tattoos/ muscle beach gym I HIGHLY recommend and will be returning for a longer stay __✌️_

Yes, actually ON the beach! You can't get any closer to the beach, it's literally outside the front door. Small clean and comfortable room with ocean view, great little roof deck and really lovely front patio with fire pit that is welcome in the evening. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and there are restaurants and shops one street over. Extra $20 a night for parking on property.

good place We stayed at Venice On The Beach Hotel on the last night of a Disney/Universal-packed vacation week. I was looking for a low-key spot on the beach within 20 minutes of LAX where we could wind down and this place did not disappoint. The room was clean, had cable TV and a safe wide enough for laptops, and offered plenty of towels for bath/beach. All three desk staff we met were super nice and professional. Ahead of time, I requested one of the hotel parking spots for our rental car, which worked out well because Venice is close quarters, and as a non-local without a guaranteed spot, I wouldn't have known where to park. Besides being right on the beach, the hotel is maybe a hundred yards from good restaurants (we loved Sushi Enya for dinner and Cow's End for breakfast), shops, and the scene on W. Washington Boulevard, but it was quiet through the night—surprisingly as it was a Friday/Saturday. Many thanks!
