Noisy! The inn is next to the ocean AND the highway. It was way too noisy. I had a hard time sleeping. The room smelled stale and in need of modernization. The room wasn’t cleaned during our visit; the manager told me we had to specifically request this service. I won’t stay there again.

'Stinky and Musty' I love the location of the 'PI' which is why I selected it, & the rates were surprisingly good. UNfortunately, that was the high point of the place; Ocean views and landscaping. The hallways leading to the rooms had an odor of 'mustiness' wafting about. Just a very stale, unpleasant smell. Seeing how OLD the bldng. is, very well could've been mold. There was paint chipped everywheres, the doors, were dated & unkempt looking. The rooms themselves were nothing special. Again, a 'stale' odor about. This place is essentially, a glorified Motel. Take your money right across the Hgwy. & have a much more enjoyable sexperience @ the 'Crowne Plaza'. Fantastic ocean views. Stayed there many times. Get a high floor. Sometimes you get what you pay for.....won't be returning to the Pierpont. I

Stuff found means overpriced. For a 1910 property it is great. Nothing is perfect. Stayed in room 412. Cracks under door, sweep needs adjusting. Large cracks each side of sweep. Breakfast was good. They used the cheapest table plastic service, Hilton, comfort suites, Marriott, use a higher grade . At a beautiful old property this kind of cheapness is unfortunate. Will not return.

Don’t stay here! Horrible room. Noise from freeway is deafening. Anytime water on upstairs, shower would run. Paint peeling around doors. Fridge didn’t work. Breakfast bar was cold and stale. Charged more than the booked rate and when shown a picture of rates at checkout, refused to honor the reserved rate. Said have to call corporate. Omg, save yourself and stay somewhere else.

Hotel Under Renovations Beware....the hotel is under renovations, but you will not find that disclosure anywhere on its website. I've stayed at the Pierpoint Inn many times since I moved out of the area 20 years ago. On this return trip I was looking forward to the stay but was very disappointed in the low quality and lack of service. This will certainly be my last stay at The Pierpont Inn, even after the renovations.
