She’s a crazy girl, and she gave 80’s horror movie. Well, I found this was the most affordable compared to others in area. But this place was wack! Bathroom had a clear sliding door, not chill. Beds were opposite sides of the room! Just weird. Location 10/10 walking distance to everything! Also loud.

Not a happy visitor. My experience was horrible, the room was small, no clocks, extra blanket was ragged, only one chair, bathroom door so heavy could hardly open it, no lamp near one bed, no microwave, parking was a couple blocks away so had to haul luggage up stairs and then down street to hotel, this was not mentioned in the ad. Cooking stove top but no pots to cook with, no maid serves during our stay. Only plus for this hotel was the location was close to many downtown attractions and restaurants.

Great location and character. The location of this hotel can't be beat, it's right in the midst of it all. Perfect for wandering downtown and the harbour and sightseeing. We really liked that. Parking was a bummer as we did use the nearby parkade, but that wasn't all that bad. The car had a place for the night and that's what really matters. Check-in staff member was very friendly. I really, really enjoyed the vibe of this place, the look of it and the charm! It has character, that's for sure. The only drawback was that the building is older and the plumbing was noisy at night. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and will definitely stay again another visit. It's not your average boring hotel!

Feel deceived Just for its location, I’d give this hotel a big 5. The staff are professional and helpful. The room was clean. However, our room (# 44) does not look like ANYTHING we saw online, except for the carpeting. The bathroom does not have a sink for one to wash their hands. Instead, the sink is next to the bed. It the bathroom, there’s only a shower and a toilet - no sink. No central air but a loud AC unit in the window. The TV set is placed very high on the left wall, way up there. One has to tilt their heads to watch TV. The little fridge (thank you) is almost in the middle of the floor. One could walk or trip on it. There’s an open space on the wall and below the TV set,not used, with a big pipe going through. There’s no closet to put one’s clothes but a sort of set of shelves without doors. I could go on. We feel we have been deceived because the photos we saw on Expedia are not an accurate or similar depiction of what this hotel gave us. We would have never booked and paid such amount of money for a room like this. We feel deceived. The authorities and/or regulating bodies should know about such deception. This place is not what you’d see online. Further, I wonder if the hotel gives this room to those who have booked a room through an online travel agency (e.g.: Expedia) and leave the best rooms for those who book a room directly with the hotel, I do not know but I wonder. A major disappointment.

Thank gosh for the location, otherwise.... Ooff... an incredibly average experience at this hotel. It's a 2 stars and I only rate it 3 stars here because of the high quality location in Govt street. Our room had no sink in the bathroom, incredibly small and springy bed, super loud AC, etc. I could go on... and for the price, it's not good. I suggest you look for other options in Victoria.
