Comfortable & Enjoyable This was a last minute booking after we arrived at Victoria Airport. We could not get 2 nights in a row but enjoyed the one we spent here. When we checked in they gave us a choice of ciders which was unexpected. It was a chilly and rainy summer day and we were very glad they had a busy pub as well as a lovely dining room so we could eat in. We enjoyed both of them, one for dinner and one for breakfast. Our room was immaculately clean with a ground level patio. It was very comfortable with nice marina views and we enjoyed the fireplace since we live in Phoenix.

Stick with the chicken burger We live across the bay and decided to try the pub for dinner My wife's chicken on bun was fine. The cauliflower wings were pretty bad as the cauliflower was mush, totally without texture. The yam and avocado sushi was a wipeout The rice had the same consistency as the glue paste we made in kindergarden out of flour and water. As avocados are expensive right now, it was yam sushi with a tiny bit of avocado. The beer was good and cold, though.

Nice views, but needs updating For the price, we were disappointed in our stay here. Our room on the top floor had a nice view, so we know that is mostly what we paid for, but the rooms are starting to show their age and could use a remodel. The layout felt cramped and there were no convenient charging areas near the nightstands. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The mattress was way past its useful life and had zero support. I am not a large person, but I felt like I was sleeping in a hole. It did not make for a restful night's sleep. On the plus side, it is quiet and the food was good. The balcony was also nice and clean.

Customer service was beyond reproach! MY sister and I spent one night at BBR for a sister getaway. WE live on Vancouver Island . I have travelled extensively having lived in the Middle east and THailand and enjoy a luxury resort whenever I can book it. This resort did not disappoint. From the moment you walk through the doors, the esthetics of the resort is simply stunning, the attention to detail just beautiful and the group of young people who work and manage this resort are nothing short of inspiring. From the front desk , to the Pub and dining room servers to the housekeeping staff and beyond they were the friendliest and most casual/chill but always attentive and professional. The rooms, beds , views are super comfortable and very lovely but we have to say the food... well it was so reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. Something as simple as the chicken tenders left us in awe of the chef as they were so ridiculously tender and the portions very generous. I had a salad in the pub and the eggs benny in the dining room in the morning and both were delightful and so tasty. I can assure you if you are just looking for that quick getaway or a lovely romantic weekend this is your spot. The spa was so peaceful and the fireplace in the room would be fabulous in the cooler months. The pool was a great temperature and the bar service in the hot tub was greatly appreciated. Thank you for a memorable quick trip and we wish you a very happy and fun summer season.

Disappointing money grab We are locals, and have loved going to the spa. But we understand that they are now charging extra for access to the pool, on top of the very high prices for pedicures or massages. So disappointing, sadly we won’t be going anymore. What a money grab.
