Nice Hotel Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. However, the handicap room did not work for me. I was not able to use the shower as there was a step into the tub. I am handicapped to the degree that I was not able to use the shower. That was disappointing. Otherwise the room was very nice. One other note, we were not giver an underground parking space. It was somewhat difficult to maneuver in a tight parking space. Also not able to use the dining room for breakfast because of the steps to get to it.

What a Disappointment Location - perfect! Web Site - attractive. Price - expensive. (I paid over $300 a night for my single room ) There were 3 of us traveling together, 2 with canes. We were assigned a main floor room, accessed by two sets of stairs with five steps each. We got someone to bring our suitcases up the stairs and managed. There was no elevator to this level. The room was clean & adequately spacious, but it was so dark & gloomy. Lighting was marginal & decorating was minimal. It was decent, but certainly not opulent or elegant. Breakfast was another disappointment. First of all, there was no way to reach it except by stairs (no matter where your room was). The offerings were mundane - precooked scrambled eggs, toaster waffles, bacon or sausages, little muffins. The fruit was hard and tasteless - & mine came with a bonus black hair in it. For the hotel class, I expected something more elegant - at least made to order omelets. There were multiple signs suggesting tips - on the check in charge slip, in the room, at breakfast, even a phone code to give via phone. I thought it was overkill - and inappropriate for the hotel class. On a positive note, the staff members we dealt with were pleasant & as helpful as they could be. Be warned, this is not an accessible hotel. Guests with a wheelchair could use the elevator for rooms on higher floors but there was no way to access the breakfast room (I asked. )

Victoria Adventure There are several hotels one could choose for exploring this wonderful island. We had one day & night to pack it in. In no specific order there are several reasons to choose this hotel. First, the hotel is literally one block from the Black Ball Ferry line making it incredibly easy to get off and on the ferry line. Second, the Hotel itself is quite lovely, and updated. Third, staff was extremely helpful. Fourth, breakfast was early enough to do a morning walkaround before getting back to check out and get back to the ferry. Fourth, The hotel is perfectly situated to walk around downtown as well as just a few minutes walk from the very fun Fisherman's wharf. And last but not least, compared to some of the other options we had, it was well priced. Parking is available but as with the other hotels we looked at there is an additional fee, although it is less than others in the downtown area and there is secured underground parking. (There is above ground parking there also, and if you have a large SUV/truck I would highly advise parking there instead of underground.) For those that wish to experience British social activities, they do offer afternoon tea. We did stay in the updated bedroom loft suite which was a bit different but pretty cool at the same time. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Great Location and Staff We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Huntington. Our room was perfect for 3 people. The included breakfast was a great way to start off the day.
