Definitely past its best This is a very tired hotel. Its saving grace is the incredible view and location but everything else is past its best and a bit depressing. 2 small double beds, dated decor and the noisiest air con I’ve ever encountered - it was operated by lifting the lid on the actual unit and was very old. The pool area had also seen better days. It does have a nice coffee shop and helpful staff, particularly Brad.

Anything but Relaxing & Pleasant Booked through Victoria Clipper Vacations. Paid for a double room for my two teen daughters & I. We were early to check in & I just expected to leave our luggage until check in time. We were told the room was ready, which was great. We went to our room to find it at the end of the hotel in a cramped corner. There was a maintenance or engineering room next to us in the corner. No big deal, but odd & I immediately felt something was off. After entering the room, we found it clean, modern & bright. We opened the curtains to find that we were on the same level as the restaurant roof & our view was of the roof!! Our patio walked out onto a corner looking out over the roof & we could literally climb over the rail & walk out onto the ugly roof. We came from Seattle to have a hotel on the Harbour with our view being a restaurant roof. So not cool. We went out exploring for a few hours & came back to take a little catnap. During the nap, somebody was in the mechanical room next to us banging on something for a good hour, & constantly opening & slamming the door into that room. I asked at the desk what was going on, bc they had a wedding that night & they said nobody should have been going in or out of that room & they would talk to the manager. Next morning, at 6am (!!!!) somebody is in the same mechanical room banging around in there. At 6:14 I called the front desk & asked them to have whoever was in there to be quiet. They said they would tell him. It stopped. I got up to use the restroom, before going back to bed, and I noticed our entry door was not latched in the jamb. Our door was open all night. I told the front desk about it at checkout and they said only one emergency key they have can open or close guests doors. So not true. Anybody could have opened that door while we were sleeping with a key card. And somebody did. I have two teenager daughters & our stay at this hotel was anything but pleasant. I actually feel sick about the door thing, & somebody came in our room while we were sleeping at night. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

Disappointing. Checked in today. Another reviewer commented about three star hotel priced like a five star and I kind of agree. Booked “Members Deal” for two nights. Check in was efficient and room ready. Parking garage is convenient and secure. Room had no glasses. Stopped at desk to ask for additional coffee cup and 3 glasses and after return found 2 glasses in the room and no additional coffee or 3rd cup. GFI switch in bathroom is broken but was able to dry hair using hallway outlet by bath. This is a safety item. Tub did not drain properly so stood in an inch of water. Lack of routine maintenance is evident. Single bath sink is cracked. Heavy popcorn ceiling with faint signs of repair. No convenience store on premises that I saw to buy a beverage or snack after coffee shop closes. The hotel was recommended by someone who has stayed here but I expected better and know he’d agree.

A little shabby, too expensive Other than a great view of Victoria BC, especially at night, the Inn at Laurel Point has little to offer. It’s sort of centrally located, the staff was fine, but otherwise, it needs some updating. We had a suite with a separate bedroom so our teen daughter could sleep on the sofa bed. Inexplicably the two sliding doors to the bathroom have no lock and are only semi-opaque. Who wants that? Everything in the bathroom was dated, the wallpaper was pulling away from the wall, chipped paint, broken counter top and a really low to the ground toilet weirdly two toilet paper dispensers. The room decor was just bland and the whole place looked a little shabby. Not worth the price, especially when there are so many better options in Victoria.

Staycation The staff was amazing! Beautiful views and the room was also beautiful, we brought our dog and they provided homemade treats for her which was extra special. Special location to walk in the harbor was perfect for a staycation which made the weekend perfect.
