Terrible The hotel has a great location and a nice pool, but it was disappointingly cold. However, the main issue was with the staff and cleaners. They didn't clean our room for two days. On the third day, they moved us to another room late at night, and we couldn't bring all of our belongings with us. The next day, they started cleaning our old room early in the morning and disposed of food and other items without our permission. The unpreparedness of the staff and the manager was very frustrating, and I have no intentions of staying there again.

Great experience - definitely recommend! We loved this budget-friendly spot! From the heated outdoor pool, nice, clean ,comfortable room (and beds), super friendly front desk staff (Chris), and the attached huge, pub with lots of friendly people, we really enjoyed it and would recommend to others! Short driving distance to downtown Victoria and all the amenities.

Small extra charges and no response when queried The place is rather cheap ( for the regular price of hotels in Victoria BC ) but the quality is not good. The room is small and does not look clean. The bright spot is there is a small kitchen attached in all studio rooms. However, what I am writing here is to report that, after I checked out and left, I was charged a small amount of money ( GBP 3.95) by this inn without giving a reason. I tried to contact them via both e mail and left a note at their web site and both were ignored. Either they had overcharged me or they just ignore requests or contacts, or both. I had booked the hotel via Hotels.com and so I tried to ask for help from there and was not able to get any help. I thought at least I will write a review in Hotels.com to complain about it and found that, using the Hotels.com web site you CANNOT write a review on a place you have booked and stayed with them now. They asked you to download the app and then you can write a review. These people cannot be real. They do not really care if a honest real review can help people make decision about the hotel that they consider booking. Hotels.com only cares about extracting more benefits from your activity ( by asking, or requiring, you to do anything and everything on their app, which tracks your activities and habits ). I am posting my real personal experience just for anyone interested to share. I am not going to download the Hotels.com app to waste my time.

Best receptionist. We encountered a great receptionist best ever in all our trips. Friendly most helpful. Efficient. The place is clean and comfortable. Great ! Its conveniently centrally located, easy access to airport and shopping. The price is reasonable, great value for the money.

Great for longer stays! We chose this hotel for 3 reasons: price, distance from downtown and a kitchenette. It came through on all 3. The kitchenette had dishes, cooking utensils and some pots/pans along with a fridge, microwave and cook top. (Hot water kettle and toaster too). Was great so we didn’t have to eat out all the time. Right behind the hotel was the galloping goose trail which also went downtown and that made for great morning walks/runs. A bit dated but super comfortable and the beds were great! We were too early to enjoy the pool and didn’t eat at the attached restaurant so can’t comment on those. Close to shopping/groceries and you get free passes to a nice gym nearby.
