Hated it I had planned to stay here on my way to NC and on my way back. I ended up canceling my return trip because I did not like it here. The room (902) was clean and the view was nice. The hotel lobby seemed impersonal and the staff were not friendly. It felt like I was checking in at the DMV. The area seems compact and run down. I didn’t like it at all. The hot tub was excellent as it was hot and clean but the dial to turn it on is across the room. You have to get out every 15 minutes to restart it. I booked this hotel because it has a hot tub. That was a major downside. The toilet in the room constantly ran and when I told her she was hesitant but offered to send someone up. I declined because I had been traveling all day and was exhausted. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I had to roll towels up against the pillow to make it more comfortable. I didn’t sleep well. It was definitely not worth $149 a night. I’d never recommend staying here.

Avoid way too noisy October 14, 2024 check out two hours early because the noise was so bad due to construction right in front of the hotel. I woke up before 8 AM to allowed drilling noise on the concrete that lasted until we checked out because we couldn’t stand the noise anymore. Do you think they could’ve waited till checkout time 11 AM before starting drilling on concrete never come back there again housekeeping, staff was awesome And breakfast was delicious but we couldn’t get out of there soon enough because of the noise

Pretty good place. Nice beds, great free breakfast, great ocean views on balcony. We came for four days mid week when the weather was good and after the kids were back in school. We've stayed in other hotels, and this is one of the better ones on the beach. The staff was very gracious and cleaning was done continuously throughout the hotel. On the downside, if you've never been to Va Beach, beware of the loud jets from the bases that will fly over often sometimes. They are extremely loud. Not the hotel's fault. We got a double king room which we really didn't need, but that was what was left at the last minute. The bed is nice, but there is not much room left with the beds taking most of the two rooms. They definitely need a better coffee maker in the room. I would have given 5 stars, but for the fact that the hotel still hasn't caught up with the times in the use of plastic and sustainability. It would be nice if they would work on this simple upgrade. We went at off season prices, which was still $200 a night, not including taxes. There are cheaper places, but this is pretty nice.

We Choose Coastal Hotel and Suites Dee, the night auditor/supervisor is awesome and goes above & beyond for guests. Her attention to detail is one of the many reasons we love this hotel. Christy & Charitha on days are also kind & professional. Great beds. Wonderful Breakfast provided by polite team! Oceanfront. Older hotel… but lots of comforts!!! Hot Tub; Indoor pool with towels provided. Fitness center! Onsite Parking Garage! It is our place of choice at VA Beach! Mark and Melissa 9/6 -9/8

The Best for a Couples Getaway! We were blown away with how clean the hotel was and how great the breakfast was every morning. The staff were all so nice it was crazy! We went with another couple and got the 2 king bed room. It was perfect! The beds were extremely comfortable. We each had our own “room” to sleep in (there is a “barn” door by the ocean front room), and a bathroom between the 2. If we ever go back with friends, this will be my first choice room! The location is also excellent. It’s located right on the ocean and a nice almost halfway point along the boardwalk so we were close to many restaurants. Perfect trip!
