Quiet & Comfortable Comfortable, clean place to stay on the oceanfront for a decent price. Requested a 3rd floor room and was readily accommodated. Room had everything one needed. Unfortunately, staff at check in and others during my stay did not have on masks . I was very uncomfortable with the fact that someone entered my room even with a 'do not disturb' notice on the door to put a notice on the TV table. (did they have on a mask???) Check your invoice - when I booked the total was $175.11 for two nights - when I got the final receipt I was charged $178.74 - they actually charge $1.00 a night for the safe - which I didn't use. It's like charging extra for the coffee and toilet paper that comes with the room. Not a lot of money but it's the point. Might stay again but would clarify charges ahead and request specifically no one goes in my room.

Neat, Clean and the staff was great My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary at the EconoLodge here in Virginia Beach. The service was top notch, Art at front desk was the best he answered all our questions and the maintenance man was working hard to keep the grounds of the hotel neat as a pin! Free bikes to guest. The rates were very reasonable and the rooms were in great shape neat and cleaned. We will be back next year!!

Best location. Clean. The important things first. Clean with perfect location. Dated furniture ? Yes. Does it matter? Not yet. Open the door to a beautiful beach is best part. Staff great. Parking tight. Limited services due to Covid. Who needs service everyday? Requests for toiletries and towels was instant. Small lending library and games in lobby. Pool warm and clean. Fridge with a freezer that really freezes keeps ice packs ready for the coolers next day. No elevator. Better than carrying beach gear to elevators and going 10 floors up is walking out the front door. No complaints and can’t wait to return. Many restaurants short walk away.

First time visiting Virginia Beach My first time visiting Virginia Beach, August 2021. I booked the Econolodge at the last minute. My family was in different hotels close by. The Econolodge was by far the best hotel compared to what my family stayed in. The staff was very friendly and housekeeping was wonderful. Room was basic but very clean. I had a ground floor room with a patio. It was the most convenient room I have ever had in a hotel. The back patio had a nice grassy area which my grandchildren played in when they came from their hotel. The patio led straight to the boardwalk and beach. No annoying elevators and did not have to walk far to any attraction. The heated outdoor pool was also very clean nice. Every room had a guaranteed parking spot which was awesome. I Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here in the future.

Old dirty hotel and room, RUDE supervisors, rough guests. Extremely overpriced. $315 Sat. night on 7/10, $233 Sun night on 7/11. This hotel is on prime location with outdated rooms, dirty carpet and old ripped furniture, NO elevator, loud AC, rough guests. There was screaming, crying, kids yelling, wall banging next door, the 1st night we're there from midnight to 3am. We came down and told the office staff but nothing was done. A lot of family with a lot of children, sink and bathtub were stuck. The worst was the office supervisors who were mean, rude, treated us with no respect with their language, mocking us, disregarded us with their gesture and attitude, eye rolling, time after time. Every time we had to talk to them, they had to make some mean and rude comment. Maybe because we're Asian. If we didn't pay already, we would have moved that first night. We did leave early as soon as our reservation allowed. Worst experience! Worst staff! Worst hotel. We had to attend a wedding nearby and also had to do work remotely, and thanks god for our own hotspot because hotel wi-fi DID NOT WORK. Will spread the negative experience and never stay at this hotel or another Econolodge again. Choice hotels needs to replace these office supervisors and update this hotel. It's a shame that on this beautiful oceanfront location lies an old, outdated, smelly, dirty, sub-standard hotel run by racist, mean, rude, scary looking supervisors.
