Holiday inn thumbs down _ My family took two rooms, double queens standard room, one oceanfront and one full side On the second floor, these were. We came far and when we got into the room, the first thing I smelled was mold I thought I would pass out. I had to open the rooms glass doors to keep the air filtering all night. When I heard the second room was the same there was nothing I knew I could do, but I will never come back here. Smells horrible ! Just checked into the coastal ocean hotel and suite down road 2 kings 6 floor oceanfront! This is much better clean and no horrible smells! Ocean’s awesome here!

Best Hotel staff Best Hotel Service staff on the Strip, management was extremely supportive and offered remedies when we were going through multiple very stressful personal situations. We love this resort and can’t wait to come back in the very near future. Mahalo to the staff for all the care, love and support.

Ok rating The Holiday Inn on 39th Street was ok... Positive: free breakfast for up to 2 people in room. Buffet was delicious. The staff in The Square Whale and the poolside bar were very friendly. Love the lazy river! Negative: It took forever to get our rooms. The balcony door in bedroom couldn't close all the way. Waste of air conditioning. The fan in bathroom was very noisy. Wish the housekeeping came more frequently. Only gave us towels 2 times out of our 7 day stay. Bed linens never changed like they said they would.

Excellent stay Very clean and nice. All staff were friendly and helpful, service was great. Prior reviews suggested problems, and I saw something suggesting they had staffing issues through the pandemic. If so, they've turned things around. Our room was great, large and clean. I did find you need to request what level of housekeeping you want for a multi-day stay, we opted for just towels and trash, which was done daily. Would gladly stay there again.

A lovely few days at the beach! The rooms were spacious and clean, beds comfortable, and the staff helpful. No complaints. Having a few pools to choose from was awesome! I also liked the fact that we were up near the northern end of Virginia Beach, where it was quieter than the busy Pier area. (The one time we did want to visit the Pier area, it was easily reached by the little trolley/bus for just $2/person).
