Needs some care Resort personnel delightful & helpful. The room was very clean. Coffee pot, utensils & pots need to be replaced.

Best hotel for differently abled travelers! My mother is on hospice, although she has been wheelchair bound with MS for decades. We struggle to find a hotel that does not make us feel like we are asking for too much. When Daniel, Kat and Quinn at Ocean sands saw what we were dealing with, they made every accommodation to make our trip as enjoyable and easy as possible. Many of them have first hand experience with a loved one in need of special accommodations and made us feel so welcome. Between setting up our hospice bed and hoyer for my mom, to making sure we had the beach wheelchair at our disposal, to even helping me hands on with my mom, I have never had so many genuinely caring people. We will return yearly in my mom's honor even if this was her last trip to the beach. They made it wonderful!

Needs major updating and good cleaning. We stayed at the Ocean Sands in Room #101. Avoid this room if you possibly can. The kitchen is 2 upper & 2 lower cabinets, with a small dishwasher & microwave. The bed was very uncomfortable, it's time to replace the mattress & pillows. It's on the ground level & the 1st thing I was told on check in was to make sure that my doors are locked because there are many homeless people around & they will try the doors to get in. Not a very secure feeling!! Towels are limited & I never saw anyone come to clean. We finally left 2 days early from our week. Not a place I'd want to stay again.

The room location is key!! Make sure you ask for a RENOVATED room with no carpet above the second floor. These rooms are very good, a total opposite of the unrenovated rooms which are terrible. Our vacation would have been ruined were it not for the fabulous office staff who found us a new room - read all the reviews and take the advice seriously- call ahead and make sure you get a good room!!!

Bring your own towels. Seems they're rationed along with hot water & cleanliness! We were put in room #101. The 1st floor at the end of the hotel. You constantly hear people going in and out of the building. Next door to a small walkway & a bicycle rental group who take the chair from our patio. I've taken it back & the next day morning it's gone again. I've reported to the front desk, but noone seems to care. As others have said, if your budget is really tight, stay here, otherwise definitely find something else. Needs lots of improvements! Parking is a nightmare!!
