Great location, couple of issues Overall, a cute oceanfront hotel. The room was clean and updated. There was a band that played under our window until 10pm (Thursday night). The restaurant food for breakfast was good, service terrible. Hallways and elevator are not air conditioned. My biggest issue was the room temp would not go down past 70. It was a warm night.

Scrutinize Your Bill at Checkout - Please I agree with everyone else whose comment is that the staff is horrible; they are. Rude and not helpful. Also there was basically no hot water during the duration of my stay. I beg you to have your receipt printed upon checkout so that you can review it and dispute whatever you need to right away. I did and discovered a charge for Mahi’s on my bill. No one in my party had eaten at the restaurant but the clerk refused to acknowledge that and claimed that the charge had been verified before charging my room. In the end, they called me and claimed they will refund the charges. We will see.

STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR The hotel is small, the staff is not friendly at all. One of the font desk employees was on the phone while "helping" us. We were not greeted with a hello or anything after approaching the front desk to ask for help. The pool are is VERY slippery, please watch out when you are in there especially if there a lo of people in pool. My two sisters and I were going up the elevator to bring back our things from the beach and meet our children at the swimming pool. Upon entering the elevator, we pushed floor eight, once it got to floor three the elevator shook and all of a sudden stopped moving. Once we figured out the elevator was broken we push the call button three times and there was no response each time we pushed the help button. Luckily both of my sisters had their personal cell phone on them and we had service. We were able to use our personal cell phone to speak to the front desk and let them know that we were stuck in the elevator. We also were able to contact our significant other so that he was able to go to the front desk and let them know we were stuck in the elevator. Upon speaking to somebody at the front desk, nobody was able to communicate with us what was going and eventually we we’re hung up on. Luckily we were able to speak with my husband and he was able to relay the message. We then found out through text messages from my husband that the firefighters were called and they were coming shortly. We then tried to call the front desk again, and no one was answering the phone. Then all of a sudden the elevator started dropping three floors down and eventually opened. Once the elevator doors opened, we were met by firefighters and my husband -NO ONE from the front desk or hotel met us at elevator we had to go to the front desk and physically asked to speak to a manager. We let the manager know what happened in the situation that we tried to call using the call button three times and that no one answered and he stated that he knew that that was a problem and still allowed guests at the hotel to use that elevator we were stuck on. There was no sympathy or empathy that was given to us by the front desk or any employees at the hotel.

Great building. Questionalbe management decisions. The renovated building looks great. Our ocean view room was clean and looked good. The beachfront location-excellent. All of the staff we met were friendly. But… The owner is watching the pennies and ignoring the dollars. *** HH members, Do not take the food/beverage credit at this hotel. Take the points.*** 1. The hotel has a restaurant , but no breakfast or drinks are available w/the credit. Instead, there is a small alcove of snacks with predatory prices. Example: $5.00 for a small bottle of water. Across the street,$1.80. 2. This hotel On The Beach has no beach towels to borrow or rent. So those of you flying in, pack giant towels! This hotel costs $50-$75 less per night than the Hilton a few blocks down the beach. I believe this owner could charge more if he just cared a little more about the guests.

Horrible Staff Absolutely awful stay. Went to the beach and forgot my ID in the room, couldn't get a new key without ID can't get in my room THAT I paid for without a key. Useless gentleman at the desks only response is that he is the only one at the desk ..so I suppose I am just meant to sit in the lobby for the duration of my stay. I filed a Complaint with Hilton and their solution is to offer rewards points ...why so I can be locked out of my room a second time?!? Because it was my mistake that my ID was in the room, there needed to be a better solution to the problem than to leave me sitting in the lobby. I would suggest that if you can stay someplace else you should do so, the hotel isn't great and the staff is even worse.
